Exclusive: Filming has begun on EastSiders creator Kit Williamson’s dark comedy series Unconventional, whose cast is being led by Kit Williamson (Mad Men), Aubrey Peeples (Nashville), James Bland (Giants) and Briana Venskus (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

Developed at The Sundance Lab, the series follows eccentric, queer siblings Noah and Margot Guillory (Williamson and Peeples) and their significant others Dan Charles and Elisa Slate (Bland and Venskus) as they try to start an unconventional family while navigating their thirties, trying to stay sane in an unstable world and, most importantly, trying to hold onto the bonds they share.

Series regulars also include Willam Belli (EastSiders), Constantine Rousouli (Charmed) Laith Ashley (Pose) and Dana Wheeler-Nicholson (Friday Night Lights). Hospitalization proves more than usually fatal in “12 Hour Shift,” a bloody black comedy from actress turned writer-director Brea Grant. This clever mix of the farcical and macabre finds shady nurse Angela Bettis’ sideline in illicit organ harvesting going seriously awry during an extra-long work stint at a 1999 Arkansas care facility. Although closer to the twistedly gallows-humorous likes of “The Hospital” and Scorcese’s underrated “Bringing Out the Dead” than the sizable subgenre of hospital horror mellers, it will most likely find an appreciative initial audience among genre fans. Nerdist Industries has debuted a fall show perfect for this Halloween season. The company acquired by Legendary Entertainment premiered a new episode of The Real Housewives of Horroron October 30, 2014, with special guest star Chris Hardwick. Created by Kevin Pereira (from G4’s Attack of the Show) and Brea Grant (Heroes, Dexter), The Real Housewives of Horror parodies all those reality TV shows about the daily lives and “struggles” of rich housewives. However, the web series takes on a decidedly darker yet more comedic angle as the women in Nerdist’s version are all married to or interested in monsters, killers, or demonic spirits. In the newest episode “Dawn of the Dawn: The Dawnening,” Grant’s character Heather decides to host a speed-dating night for her friend Barbara Dawn (Brooke Seguin), who’s just getting over the death of her late, hatchet-wielding husband Cage Trollman. A fun video that we missed yesterday during all the Halloween festivities popped onto our radar today so if you're suffering from the post-holiday blues, why not spend a few minutes with "The Real Housewives of Horror"?

The video comes to us from Nerdist's YouTube Channel, and it follows five of the most murderous women in the country as they enjoy the gory and gruesome lifestyle that only horror can provide.

The cast is comprised of Brea Grant, Harley Morenstein, Briana Lane, Jessika Van, Brooke Seguin, Zack Pearlman, and Laura Ortiz. It's produced by Nerdist and Super Creative; executive produced by Kevin Pereira, Yaniv Fituci, and Ziv Haklili; line produced by Carrie LeGrand; directed by Sandeep Parikh; and written by Brea Grant.

It seems like you've got every type of entertainment imaginable at Comic-Con in San Diego this week, but musicals? Yep, musicals, too! 30 Minute Musicals will be presenting Jurassic Park in 4D!

Directed by Brooke Seguin and featuring Tom Lenk from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and Sandeep Parikh of The Guild, this live-action performance presented by Secondline Productions will be held on July 18 at 6 p.m. in the Horton Grand Theatre (444 Fourth Avenue, San Diego, CA).
