Was one of three people (along with his grandmother
Vickie Landrum and her friend
Betty Cash) who were supposedly injured in an alleged "Unidentified Flying Object close encounter" near Huffman, Texas, USA on December 29, 1980. Known as the "Cash-Landrum incident" (aka "The Piney Woods incident"), it remains popular in "ufology" lore, and is considered in those circles to be one of it's greatest mysteries. His grandmother and Cash both developed serious health problems as a result of the incident. Cash passed away on the 18th anniversary of the incident.
