Modi Cohen was born on 23 June 1941 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India. He was an actor, known for Sagina (1974) and Nawab Sirajuddaula (1967). He died on 16 December 2015 in Calcutta, West Bengal, India.
He worked for Pakistan Television (now Bangladeh Television or as commonly known, BTV) from the day it started broadcasting in 1965 until he left for Kolkata in 1968. He was the first programme announcer for BTV.
