Marie-Therese Lind (born 1983 in Lienz, Austria) has worked internationally in different branches as a performing artist for over 12 years. She was on tour as part of the cast with big shows like "Aquaria", was engaged in a cabaret in Paris, at the Volksopera in Vienna, played off-theater in Berlin and was seen as an actress in the US-Series "Covert Affairs", the Austrian TV-Series "Die Toten von Salzburg" and the feature film "The Last Dance" (awarded at the Diagonale 2014 with "Best Austrian Film" and "Best Actress" for E. Mangold, Dir.: H. Allahyari) amongst others.
Growing up in a musician family, her artistic education started in her early years. She learned to play several instruments before the age of 6 and from than on continued her classical musical practice at the Mozarteum Salzburg at the high talented youth. She was awarded at the musical competition "Prima la Musica" twice. As a teenager she discovered her passion for dance and she studied at the SEAD - "Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance" for two years, where she got in touch with contemporary dance. In the same time she started helping out in the new family business and she learned producing videos and taking photos for her fathers specialist books. After finishing her final exams at school, she moved to Vienna to study acting, singing and dancing at the Performing Art Studios and the Vienna Conservatory.
Her artistic engagements gave her a wide range of experiences, in commercial productions and shows, in avantgarde-performances like "under de si" at Wiener Festwochen as well as in small and big movie- and theatre productions. She got to know different work-flows and techniques and kept improving her skills over the years. She also assisted in many short films behind the scenes.
In 2020 she decided to produce and direct her first own short film: "Shortcuts". Just after finishing shooting she was asked to direct the music video "Leinen Los" from Daniela Flickentanz, a striving and talented Austrian Singer Songwriter. "Leinen Los" was on TV right away and played in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in December of 2020 and in February of 2021.
As a director she combines her talents perfectly. She knows how to bring enthusiastic artists together and how to build a team, leading it to make her vision come to life. One of her artistic values is to make seemingly invisible unhealthy patterns of our society seen, while creating a subtle feeling in the background of an unspoken connection we humans always have.
