Dario Russo(I)

Dario Russo is an award-winning Australian writer/director known for comedies infused with high-concept genre elements. Dario broke out in the early years of YouTube with his online comedy series Italian Spiderman (2008), a pastiche of 1960s Italian cinema, which has gathered tens of millions of views and become a part of the internet sub-culture. Dario went on to co-create, co-write, co-produce and direct Danger 5 (2012-2015), an action/comedy television series for Australian broadcaster SBS, which ran for two seasons and has attracted an international cult following. Dario was a producer and writer on the Hulu animated comedy series Koala Man (2022), created by Michael Cusack, starring Hugh Jackman. Dario has several animated television projects in development with his writing partner David Ashby. Alongside his work in television, Dario is preparing to shoot his first live action feature, The Fox, produced by Causeway Films, (The Babadook, Talk To Me). Dario is represented by United Talent Agency.
