Candice Irion, a native Texan, moved to Maryland at a young age
spending much of her early years acting and stage managing theater
productions. While in college, Candice continued her love of theater
but expanded her scope to writing and directing. It was there that
Candice realized a love of the media world and sought different venues
on how to help others through this medium.
Her projects include writing and directing two musicals, a short film, promotional videos as well as news stories. She obtained double degrees in Broadcasting and Journalism from Elon University and went on to intern with CBS in Baltimore. Her experience at CBS confirmed her goals and Candice ventured into different positions in both the non-profit and corporate sectors, finding herself in roles where she could utilize her media skills. Yet, something more continued to tug at her.
Candice always had a dream of working in film and she decided the time had come. She began searching for auditions and ways to get involved in the film industry. Then, through her photography business, she answered an online ad to be a Set-Photograher/PA and thus embarked upon her career in film. Candice continues to serve as Writer, Director, Producer, AD, Actress and Photographer on Independent Feature and Short Films, Television, Documentaries, Corporate and Non-Profit Promotional Videos.
She has written six feature length screenplays, five short films, industrials, a book, as well as two documentaries, one of which led Candice to film in Africa. Candice also wrote devotions for Lifeway's online Bible study website, promotions for the FamilyNet Channel and served for five years as an interviewer for the Dallas International Film Festival.
In addition, she was nominated for Best Actress for her role in "Delivered" at the Action on Film International Film Festival in Los Angeles, California and is honored to be listed on the IMDB lists: "25 Beautiful Texas Actresses on the Rise" and "Indie Film Actors & Actresses in D/FW".
