Born in Plymouth, UK, Pezh was the first born of 3 children to Monir, a Chartered Accountant and Hassan Alinia, an ex-Naval Officer and Entrepreneur. Pezh began his love affair with drama after watching a performance of Shakespeare's Henry IV pt 1 at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth and subsequently acted in a number of school productions and became an avid cinephile spurred on by chance meetings as a teenager with Telly Savalas in London and John Travolta in Paris.
Pezh took up a place at Cambridge University to study Medicine eventually specializing as a Psychiatrist and practicing for a number of years as a doctor in London. During his adult life he developed his passion for the performing Arts and Cinema with his involvement in a series of low-budget short films as actor as well as formal training in Meisner and Method Acting and enrolled on the Masters program in filmmaking at the London Film School.
His switch to the full-time dedication to his craft of acting coincided with his Off West-End debuts in the ensemble cast of Patrick Kinmonth's reprisal of "Haydn's Creation" (2013) at Ambika P3, London and the lead role of Hassan in David Planell's award winning play "Bazaar" (2014) at the Arcola Theatre, London.
Subsequently an audition for Sam Mendes saw him cast in the role of Blofield's Chief Analyst in the Bond Movie: "Spectre" (2015). Further TV roles followed as the lead role as Avi in the docudrama: "Holy Land Foundation" (2016) directed by Rick Platt for Al-Jazeera USA and the guest role of Houtan Vosoughi in the second season of the highly acclaimed French thriller series: "Le bureau des légendes" (2016) directed by Eric Rochant for Canal +.
2016 saw Pezh appearing as Doctor in the Marvel Studios feature "Doctor Strange" alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and on the hugely successful "Tyrant" series 3 on FX as Doctor Karim.
Following this Pezh starred in a guest role in the iconic British series "Eastenders" (2017) and the hit FOX series "Deep State" with Mark Strong and Joe Dempsie and the lead role of Faheed in the romantic thriller "5 Minutes and Counting" (2018) streaming on Amazon.
Pezh voiced the lead role of Kalifa for the global hit Netflix series "Skylines" (2019) and played the guest role of gangster Hassan Sayegh in "NCIS" (2021) opposite Mark Harmon.
Pezh was then cast in the role of Asaph in the series "The Chosen" (2023) to great critical acclaim and will be next seen in the new HULU series "Washington Black" (2023) alongside Sterling K Brown, Charles Dance and Rupert Graves.
