Katie Hetland is a television editor and director from Norway.
She received recognition as a teenager with several short films across Europe and was consequently invited to attend School of Visual Arts in New York City on a scholarship. Her thesis film "Traveling in Circles" went on to win best film and editing awards in 7 different cities, including New York, Los Angeles and her hometown Stavanger.
She now works in Los Angeles, where she won an Emmy for best editing for the HBO Special Lady Gaga Presents: The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden.
Katie Hetland is the first and currently only Norwegian female to receive a Primetime Emmy.
