Emily Lapisardi is an actress, director, and musician also known for her
one-woman shows in which she portrays historical figures such as Rose
Greenhow, Sarah Bernhardt, and Jenny Lind. After a brief ballet career
in the US and Ukraine, she studied opera in college (where she was a
candidate for the Rhodes Scholarship) and at several international
training programs, including the Ezio Pinza Council for American
Singers of Opera. She is also an accomplished organist and pianist.
Lapisardi grew up in the theatre; her father was a dramaturg for
several seasons of the Yeats Festival at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin,
Ireland and her mother was an acting teacher.
