Bill Hader, a veteran in the movie industry, had heaps to say when he decided to end his show, Barry, after four seasons. And after what recently happened to Kaos, everything seems to make sense about how show business works and how sometimes good things don’t last.

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from the Season 3 finale of Industry.
Industry wrapped its third season on Sunday night with an extra-long episode that turned just about every character’s world upside down.
With its impending debt about to reach maturation, Pierpoint was on the brink of collapse, and the higher ups had mere hours to figure out a solution. After exhausting their options, they settle on giving up majority ownership of the bank to Middle Eastern investors and, by the time everyone comes to work the next day, there’s already a new name on the front doors. This change in ownership comes with a bout of layoffs that includes Eric (Ken Leung) and, before he can be let go, Rishi (Sagar Radia) walks out.
He’s already devised a plan with Harper (Myha’la) for Leviathan Alpha to hire him, as well as Sweetpea (Miriam Petche) and Anraj...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains plot details for “Infinite Largesse,” the Season 3 finale of HBO’s “Industry.”
It’s a good thing HBO announced the renewal of “Industry” for a fourth season before Sunday’s finale, because fans might otherwise fear the episode marked the end of the series. After Season 2 culminated in antiheroine Harper Stern (Myha’la) getting fired from the bank Pierpoint & Co., initially the focal point of “Industry,” Season 3 completes the fracturing of the show’s core characters. Publishing heiress Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela) lost her job at Pierpoint earlier in the season; now, she’s exited finance altogether, embracing her destiny as the socialite bride-to-be of aristocrat Henry Muck (Kit Harington). Working-class hero Robert (Harry Lawtey) has jumped ship for a psilocybin startup, with a trendy new haircut to match.
Most jarringly of all, Pierpoint itself is effectively no more. After overexposing itself in so-called ethical investing,...

HBO is doubling down on the stressful world finance thanks to its Season 4 renewal of “Industry.” The network gave the thumbs up as there are still two episodes to go in the eight-episode Season 3.
“Industry” has long been a cult hit for HBO, but this year the series really took off. So far, the drama is averaging 1.6 million viewers per an episode, which marks a 40% viewership increase compared to Season 2. Viewership for the series over these past five weeks has ranked among the drama’s top five weeks ever. Additionally, social conversations around the series were two times higher than last season and have grown by double digits each week.
This bump may have been impacted by the new Sunday night time slot for “Industry” or the intense push the network gave “Industry” during the final season of “Succession” last year.

“The Penguin,” which stars Colin Farrell in a reprisal of his role from Matt Reeves’ film “The Batman,” will make its official debut on Thursday, Sept. 19. An encore of the series premiere will air at 9 p.m. on Sept. 22 as well, with the eight-episode show airing on Sundays at 9 p.m. thereafter.
“Industry” Season 3 debuted on HBO and Max on Aug. 11. The British-American series has seen a steady rise in popularity as it has continued. HBO recently announced that this season’s premiere drew an estimated 300,000 viewers across all platforms,...

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from Season 3, Episode 6 of Industry.
Industry has finally given audiences an answer about the fate of Yasmin’s father, Charles Hanani (Adam Levy).
The first five episodes of Season 3 have hinted that something ominous happened to the man on a lavish yacht trip, and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) had something to do with it. In the finale moments of Episode 5, she tells Rob that she killed her dad — but it’s a bit more complicated than that.
The opening moments of Episode 6 reveal that, after Yasmin discovered her dad being intimate with a member of the yacht staff in her room, she confronts him on the top deck of the boat, where the two have a vicious fight that ends with Yasmin telling her dad that she wishes he were dead. In a moment of narcissism and likely self-loathing, Charles jumps from the boat to grant his daughter her wish.

HBO's investment banking drama Industry has grown a lot since its first season, and with that has come new characters, locations, and complicated storylines. But this show is at its best when depicting betrayal and cunning schemes right in the office, which is why "Nikki Beach, or: So Many Ways to Lose," the sixth episode of the third season, is arguably one of the best of the whole show. This feels like the most Industry of episodes that we've gotten in a while, and I can't wait to see what's next.
Industry season 3 episode 6 premiered tonight, Sunday, Sept. 15 on HBO and Max. We break down all the biggest moments below! Warning: Major spoilers are ahead.
In the final moments of last week's episode, Yasmin casually tells Robert while lying in bed together that she killed her father. If you had questions about that moment like I did, don't worry; tonight's episode clears it all up.

The best TV show currently airing new episodes is Industry, HBO's high-stakes investment banker drama that's generating a lot of buzz. In its third season, Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington joins the cast as cringe-worthy tech bro Sir Henry Muck, starring alongside really talented up-and-comers like Myha'la Herrold and Marisa Abela. This show has been seriously slept on, and I'm glad it's finally starting to get the attention it deserves! Industry season 3 continues with a new episode tonight, which by the looks of the preview seems to be Rishi-centric.
The fourth episode of season 3 is titled "White Mischief" and should introduce us to the next big conflict in Industry now that Lumi has failed. Be sure not to miss it live, and if you have to, beware of spoilers on social media! The show is big enough now that a lot of fans live-tweet each episode.

Industry is heating up on HBO.
The finance drama hit an audience record with the third episode of Season 3, raking in 370,000 cross-platform viewers on Sunday night, according to Nielsen and Warner Bros. Discovery internal viewing figures. The episode, which marked a pivotal moment in Harper’s (Myha’la) career post-Pierpoint, was directed Zoe Wittock.
That’s a strong lift from the 300,000 flat that tuned into the Season 3 premiere the night it aired.
According to HBO, the premiere episode of Season 3 is now tracking around 1.4M viewers, which is significantly ahead of last season, when about 900,000 had tuned into the Season 2 debut in this time frame.
This might seem like small potatoes compared to some of HBO’s other Sunday night fare. Industry took up the mantle in the marquee time slot from House of the Dragon, which saw 8.9M viewers the night of the Season 2 finale.

Fargo is one of the most brilliant and weird series that has probably ever been made. While the series is brilliant and gets better with each season, the wait between each season is very long because the creator Noah Hawley is attached to many projects, and he doesn’t have much time to create new seasons every year. So, if you love the surreal humor, psychological thriller, and crime drama aspects of Fargo here are some similar shows you should check out next.

Daniel Fienberg: How the blazes have we reached the end of the summer already? Sorry, Matthew McConaughey in True Detective. Time isn’t a flat circle. It’s a vortex, and the summer of 2024 got sucked right in.
Since June, politics has given us The Worst Debate in History, an assassination attempt, a new Republican vice-presidential candidate (and attendant memes), a sitting president dropping out of the race, a new Democratic presidential nominee, and the meteoric rise of her avuncular running mate, whom 95 percent of Americans couldn’t have picked out of a lineup in May.
Smack in between two political conventions, our attentions shifted to Paris for the Olympics, where we marveled at the largely E. coli- and entirely shark-free beauty of the Seine, celebrated Simone Biles, ogled French pole vaulters, held our breath through one impossible comeback after another, and attempted to make sense of competitive breakdancing...

“Succession” may have come to an end last year, but HBO has another high-stakes drama about the corporate universe up its sleeve — and it’s about time you caught up. Welcome to the scandalous, drug-filled and obscenely rich world of “Industry.”
Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, “Industry” largely revolves around the day-to-day stresses at a London-based investment bank called Pierpoint & Co. When you mix giant egos, no sleep and nearly limitless wealth, it doesn’t take much for this series about financial wins and woes to spiral into chaos. The last time audiences caught up with Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) was two years ago in 2022. Now “Industry” is returning with a new day of the week and a big-name newcomer to the project: “Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington.
Here’s everything you need to know about when and how to watch Season 3.

After nearly two years, “Industry” is back for a third season. And this time around, the HBO drama is chronicling a financial saga that will pull its antiheroes into the upper echelons of the financial, political and media worlds.
Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, “Industry” first premiered in 2020 as a steamy and high-stakes drama about a group of new hires at a top-tier London bank. Not all of those newbies lasted, but Down and Kay have found new ways to dive into this ever-stressful world. This season, they’re diving into the world of ethical investment through a new character played by Kit Harington.
Consider this your guide on who’s who in the cast of “Industry” Season 3.

For two seasons, Industry has steadily climbed the ranks of top financial dramas, telling a complex story of ambitious graduates in an intense London banking world. Viewers discovered compelling characters navigating personal lives colliding with risky moves in a cutthroat industry. Creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay crafted a show renowned for sharp writing depicting class tensions and the human toll of high-stakes careers.
Now in its third season, Industry steps confidently into the coveted Sunday night slot on HBO, a mark of the network’s faith in the series. Season 3 looks poised to reach new heights with an expanded story involving green investments and familiar guest stars. It seems like just yesterday the 2024 Paris Olympics were getting underway in the City of Light, but it’s been two weeks since France reminded the world its greatest exports have always been art and chaos. The avant-garde opening ceremony on the River Seine featured everything from “Les Misérables” and a metal band jamming with headless Marie Antoinettes, to a fashion show and 14-time French Open winner Rafael Nadal carrying the Olympic torch.
Since then we’ve seen world records fall and impressive feats of athleticism never before done. We’ve cheered comebacks and cried over shattered dreams. But as the end of the Summer Games approaches, we turn our sights to Sunday’s closing ceremony. Stade de France, which has been home to the track and field events this week, will be at the center of the spectacle, which organizers say includes more than a “hundred performers, acrobats, dancers and circus artists.

‘Industry’ Season 3 Review: HBO Critical Darling Returns Bigger, Better and More Ambitious Than Ever
The spectacular third season of “Industry” starts not on the crowded, bustling trading floor of the London-based banking institution Pierpoint & Company, but on a boat amidst the sea. Over the last two seasons, the financial drama, co-produced by HBO and the BBC, has steadily grown in scope and ambition, much like the protagonist at its center, but the decision to start in literal open waters can’t help but feel like a deliberate metaphor: “Industry” is now a sea of endlessly exciting possibilities.
Season 3 graduates “Industry” from Max binge premiere in Season 1 and the Monday night slot in Season 2 to HBO’s biggest provider of cultural relevance with the Sunday night slot. As such, the show feels like a bigger deal that’s reflected in its scope. When we last saw series lead Harper Stern (the mononymous Myha’la), she was in the midst of what could be described as a mercy killing.

Industry returns for Season 3 this Sunday, August 11, on HBO, and new episodes are getting rave reviews from critics. The series gives an insider’s view of the blackbox of high finance following a group of young bankers as they forge their identities within the pressure cooker environment and sex and drug-fueled blitz of international bank Pierpoint & Co’s London office. And the Season 2 finale, which aired in September 2022, set the stage for big changes ahead. Game of Thrones star Kit Harington and Barry‘s Sarah Goldberg join the fold for Season 3, which will see Pierpoint looking to the future and taking a big bet on ethical investing. Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawtey), and Eric (Ken Leung) find themselves front and center in the splashy IPO of Lumi, a green tech energy company led by Sir Henry Muck (Harington), in a story that runs all the way to the very top of finance,...

At the risk of repeating ourselves, permit me to reiterate an oft-regurgitated Playlist sentiment in this review of “Industry” season three. Set in the high stakes, high-risk world of London international investment banking, the propulsive “Industry” is HBO’s best-kept secret and the waiting-in-the-wings heir to “Succession.” Moreover, created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, in the vacuum left by “Succession,” the addictively compelling and sharply written series seems poised to finally ascend to the top of the HBO prestige throne.

Kit Harington’s Sir Henry Muck is ready to take his green tech energy company public — or at least he thinks he is — in the new Season Three trailer for Industry. As the bank Pierpoint takes a bet on Muck’s company, Lumi, for its IPO, he appears to question himself (and others express doubt) on whether the move is the right one. “Are you even profitable? One person asks.
“You know, ever since Pierpoint put you on this, I feel like my luck has turned,” he says in a...

Sex, drugs, and investment banking. Must mean “Industry” is (finally) back.
In Season 3, Pierpoint & Co. turns toward ethical investing, but probably not for the ethics. Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawtey), and Eric (Ken Leung) are tasked with taking green-tech energy company Lumi, led by Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington), to the public markets. But before it can IPO, questions about the company’s finances reach the media, and Sir Henry’s pleasant-appearing disposition is overtaken by a much darker personality. Still, there’s nothing like some shirtless handball to blow off some steam.
Meanwhile, Harper (Myha’la) is no longer with Pierpoint, but she’s not out of the game yet. In a lengthy teaser released Tuesday by HBO, it looks like her and Eric may have another go at this whole finance thing. But first, he and Robert have to do some primal screaming.
The returning cast for Season 3 also includes Conor MacNeill,...

It's been over a year since two of the best shows in HBO history signed off on the same night, yet we're still thinking about "Barry." The series started with a bang in 2018, delivering a cool premise –- What if a hit man wanted to give it all up and become an actor? –- that soon gave way to four seasons of dark humor, brutal violence, shocking tragedy, whip-smart satire, and some of the most incredible filmmaking of the 21st century. Co-creators Alec Berg and Bill Hader were never content to let "Barry" tread water, and seemed determined to constantly reinvent the show –- in part by pushing its central character beyond his breaking point.
As "Barry" wore on, it got tougher to categorize. While awards voting bodies heaped praise upon the show's early seasons, it saw fewer wins for seasons 3 and 4: the show, at some point, became too...
