Exclusive: The BBC has renewed comedy series We Might Regret This for two more seasons, providing new impetus for its producers’ hunt for a U.S. buyer.
A recommission has looked likely for some time following strong reviews in the UK and two more six-part runs have now been officially confirmed to Deadline.
From creators Kyla Harris and Lee Getty, We Might Regret This follows Freya (Kyla Harris), a woman in love who leaves her native Canada for London to be with her boyfriend, Abe (Darren Boyd), a to-year-old straight-laced lawyer with whom she shares a loving relationship and an electric sexual connection.
Freya is a 30-something artist who is a tetraplegic, which means she is paralyzed below the neck and all four limbs are affected due to a spinal cord injury. She requires the assistance of a 24-hour Pa, an intimate role she offers to her chaotic and impulsive...

HBO is doubling down on the stressful world finance thanks to its Season 4 renewal of “Industry.” The network gave the thumbs up as there are still two episodes to go in the eight-episode Season 3.
“Industry” has long been a cult hit for HBO, but this year the series really took off. So far, the drama is averaging 1.6 million viewers per an episode, which marks a 40% viewership increase compared to Season 2. Viewership for the series over these past five weeks has ranked among the drama’s top five weeks ever. Additionally, social conversations around the series were two times higher than last season and have grown by double digits each week.
This bump may have been impacted by the new Sunday night time slot for “Industry” or the intense push the network gave “Industry” during the final season of “Succession” last year.

The final two episodes of “Industry” Season 3 are shifting timeslots — at least on linear.
Episodes seven and eight of the third season of “Industry” will still be available at the usual 9 p.m. Et to stream on Max on Sunday, Sept. 22 and Sept. 29. However, on HBO proper, the episodes will not air until 10 p.m., immediately following the new DC miniseries “The Penguin.”

Industry is heating up on HBO.
The finance drama hit an audience record with the third episode of Season 3, raking in 370,000 cross-platform viewers on Sunday night, according to Nielsen and Warner Bros. Discovery internal viewing figures. The episode, which marked a pivotal moment in Harper’s (Myha’la) career post-Pierpoint, was directed Zoe Wittock.
That’s a strong lift from the 300,000 flat that tuned into the Season 3 premiere the night it aired.
According to HBO, the premiere episode of Season 3 is now tracking around 1.4M viewers, which is significantly ahead of last season, when about 900,000 had tuned into the Season 2 debut in this time frame.
This might seem like small potatoes compared to some of HBO’s other Sunday night fare. Industry took up the mantle in the marquee time slot from House of the Dragon, which saw 8.9M viewers the night of the Season 2 finale.

“Succession” may have come to an end last year, but HBO has another high-stakes drama about the corporate universe up its sleeve — and it’s about time you caught up. Welcome to the scandalous, drug-filled and obscenely rich world of “Industry.”
Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, “Industry” largely revolves around the day-to-day stresses at a London-based investment bank called Pierpoint & Co. When you mix giant egos, no sleep and nearly limitless wealth, it doesn’t take much for this series about financial wins and woes to spiral into chaos. The last time audiences caught up with Harper (Myha’la) and Yasmin (Marisa Abela) was two years ago in 2022. Now “Industry” is returning with a new day of the week and a big-name newcomer to the project: “Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington.
Here’s everything you need to know about when and how to watch Season 3.

The BBC has debuted a trailer for the upcoming comedy-drama series ‘We Might Regret.’
The series is inspired by the lives and experiences of its creators Kyla Harris and Lee Getty.
Centring around a new relationship, an impending blended family and an intense female friendship, the series follows Freya (Kyla Harris) a 30-something Canadian artist and tetraplegic. She’s moved to London for Abe (Darren Boyd), a 50-something straight-laced lawyer who thinks he’s the old dog that can learn new tricks.
Freya and Abe’s relationship is a high-speed romance which sees Abe inviting Freya to move into his house before she’s even seen upstairs. Because of Freya’s disability, living together also includes personal assistants (PAs), who are always there – a third person in earshot for every romantic moment and domestic screaming match.

Kit Harington’s Sir Henry Muck is ready to take his green tech energy company public — or at least he thinks he is — in the new Season Three trailer for Industry. As the bank Pierpoint takes a bet on Muck’s company, Lumi, for its IPO, he appears to question himself (and others express doubt) on whether the move is the right one. “Are you even profitable? One person asks.

Sex, drugs, and investment banking. Must mean “Industry” is (finally) back.
In Season 3, Pierpoint & Co. turns toward ethical investing, but probably not for the ethics. Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawtey), and Eric (Ken Leung) are tasked with taking green-tech energy company Lumi, led by Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington), to the public markets. But before it can IPO, questions about the company’s finances reach the media, and Sir Henry’s pleasant-appearing disposition is overtaken by a much darker personality. Still, there’s nothing like some shirtless handball to blow off some steam.
Meanwhile, Harper (Myha’la) is no longer with Pierpoint, but she’s not out of the game yet. In a lengthy teaser released Tuesday by HBO, it looks like her and Eric may have another go at this whole finance thing. But first, he and Robert have to do some primal screaming.
The returning cast for Season 3 also includes Conor MacNeill,...

The exec producer behind BBC comedy-drama We Might Regret This has said his ambition was for a show starring and written by a disabled performer to be “at the very top table of creativity.”
The Office and People Just Do Nothing producer Ash Atalla, whose Roughcut TV outfit is making We Might Regret This in association with Village Roadshow Television, said there has been a tendency for British broadcasters to “use the dry slopes of smaller budget shows or ancillary channels as training progams” when it comes to projects led by disabled people.
Penned by Kyla Harris and Lee Getty, We Might Regret This, on the other hand, is being positioned as a bigger-budget primetime offering for the UK’s national broadcaster, which its backers feel could be a potential awards winner.

Exclusive: The BBC has greenlit a comedy-drama about a Canadian tetraplegic moving to London from Stath Lets Flats producer Roughcut TV in association with Village Roadshow Television.
In the Catastrophe-esque We Might Regret This, Freya, played by the show’s co-writer Kyla Harris, moves to the English capital to live with Abe (Killing Eve and Smack the Pony’s Darren Boyd). Abe thinks he’s an old dog that can learn new tricks but Freya requires constant PAs who are always present and, after failing to find the right person for this intimate role, invites chaotic and impulsive best friend Jo (Elena Saurel) to take the job.
The show is inspired by the lives of Harris and co-writer Lee Getty, who said it will be about the “messiest and most joyous lived experiences of friendship, love and disability.”
We Might Regret This was initially reported to be in development as a Channel 4 pilot.
