It wouldn't be until high school, with no training and no previous acting experience, when he read an ad in the paper to audition for movies. Allen began to see acting as a fun and interesting hobby. Close to his 18th birthday, he felt the pressure to get a college degree. He decided to study finance at the University of North Texas. To feed his creative side, he took acting classes at UNT. Upon graduation, he entered the financial arena, but after a few years he realized that his love for acting never subsided. Allen decided to take acting classes and attended different workshops and acting studios. The realization of being an actor was completely settled in his mind, and he quickly sought after an agent and began booking small co-star roles in popular television shows and local independent films.
