Award-winning Lebanese filmmaker and 2023's Screen Star of Tomorrow, Nour Wazzi directed the Netflix feature thriller 'Locked In' written by Rowan Joffe ('28 Weeks Later', 'Tin Star'), with producers Nicky Bentham ('Moon') and Alison Jackson ('Tin Star'), starring Famke Janssen ('X-Men'), Rose Williams ('The Power'), Finn Cole ('Peaky Blinders'), Alex Hassel ('The Tragedy of Macbeth') and Anna Friel ('Marcella').
Following a number of award-winning shorts and BBC3's 'The Break', Nour directed on the Netflix sci-fi adventure show 'The Last Bus' starring Robert Sheehan ('Umbrella Academy') and upcoming talent including Lauryn Ajufo ('Luther') and Moosa Mustafa ('Wednesday') that aired in April 2022, making her one of the first Arabs in the UK to break into high-end TV.
Upcoming projects include thriller 'Chimera' with producers Hans Ritter (DC Comics' 'Birds of Prey', 'Hard Candy') and President of Production at Echo Lake, Mary Jane Skalski ('American Animals', 'The Station Agent').
Nour has over 15 years experience in the industry collaborating on award-winning films including the OSCAR nominated, Sundance and Berlinale winner 'Waste Land'; directing for BAFTA Rocliffe, as well as being mentored via BAFTA and Directors UK schemes by the likes of Gareth Edwards ('The Creator', 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story') and on shows such as 'His Dark Materials' - aspiring for epic worlds.
Her award-winning short filmography includes the Film London backed 'Up On The Roof' starring Maisie Williams ('Game Of Thrones') that premiered at London Film Festival; 'Shackled' starring Emilia Clarke ('Game Of Thrones'); 'Habibti' with Hiam Abbass ('Blade Runner 2049', 'Succession'), Yasmine Al Massri ('Quantico') and Jimmy Akingbola ('In The Long Run'); DFI-backed short thriller 'Baby Mine', starring Alexander Siddig ('Game Of Thrones') and Alex Ferns ('Chernobyl'); and sci-fi thriller 'Lab Rat'.
She is represented by Independent Talent (UK) and Lit Entertainment Group (U.S).
