Ayse Eldek was born and raised in Turkey. She moved to USA in 1997 and studied Drama at Harvard Extension School. When she moved to New York City she met Uta Hagen. She continued her study at HB Studio.
She became a part of the Bat Theater Company at the Flea Theater (founded by Sigourney Weaver and director Jim Simpson)in 2003. She wrote her one act play and performed it at One Act Play Festivals where it was sold out. Then she decided to write her story as a screenplay. She was able to shoot the short version of the film which was at Cannes 2008 Short Film Corner. She co-starred in a feature film "A Book of Truth And Book Of Lies" where she brought comedy into the piece and have them receive Best Comedy-Drama award. David the movie she costarred in received many international awards.
