Born in 1982 in Viña del Mar, Chile. Chepo Sepúlveda Egaña began his film career as an assistant director in a variety of fiction movies. That experience gave him the confidence to lead film crews and also clarified his interest in telling true stories. He now aspires to be a voice as a director in documentary film. Chepo lives between Portugal and Chile and he currently produces documentaries about Latin America for an international audience. He has learned from the hands of directors Patricio Guzmán and Fredrik Gertten. After shooting for five years, he will premiere his first documentary this 2024. The story about Mariel Mariel, an unconventional musical proposal of urban, electronic and latín sounds, which shows from the inside how the music industry really works in the third world.
