Jake is a sound designer, film music mixer, re-recording mixer, and
co-owner of Strawberry Sound Studios. At the start of his career, Jake worked at some of the most notable recording studios in music
history. Over the past 9 years he has honed his skills as a sound designer and film mixer, and has worked on many award winning films.
He got his start in 2005 as a production sound mixer in Arizona, and in 2007 he completed his education at the Los Angeles Recording School. At the time, his focus was music. In 2008 he completed his internship at the notorious Westlake Recording Studios. He then went on to work at Eldorado Recording Studios assisting with, and sitting in on sessions with artists such as Ben Harper, Meredith Brooks & A Fine Frenzy. In 2009 Jake joined the staff of Paramount Recording Studios. There he had the opportunity to meet, learn from & work with some of the greatest audio engineers and music artist of modern and archetypal music. In 2010 Jake moved to Salt Lake City to try his hand at running his own studio, and pursue his love of sound in film. There he met musician and composer Christopher Doucet, with whom he started Strawberry Sound Studios. Since then the duo has gone on to write, record, mix & create sound & music for many albums, commercials & award winning short & feature length films.
