In the world of SciFi Horror and Adventure, we’ve got a new story to dive into. ‘The Last Boy on Earth’ is set to release on November 7, 2023. If you’re a fan of digital releases, you’re in luck – it’ll be available on Digital and VOD.

Nicolás Onetti takes the director’s chair for this film, while the story springs from the imaginative mind of Camilo Zaffora. Producing such a thrilling tale isn’t easy, and the credit goes to Carlos Goitia. These names promise us a film that’s going to be the talk of the town.

We’re getting a mix of actors, some familiar and others who might be new to you. The cast boasts names like Sam Hoare, Joshua Grothe, Arben Bajraktaraj, and John Bubniak. Every actor brings a unique touch, making the film’s anticipation even more electric.

"The target is surround, we await further instructions." Black Mandala has revealed a first look trailer for an indie sci-fi creation called The Last Boy on Earth, an anthology film with around eight segments in total to enjoy. There's no final premiere date set yet, but it will be released sometime later in 2023. Here's the only synopsis available so far: In a distant future, an enigmatic boy becomes the central figure in the search for a new hope. Who is this kid? Why is everyone looking for it? Sometimes it is better not to know certain answers... I'm also wondering if this kid is in every segment? The cast includes Camilo Levigne, Raymond Lee, Hugo "Kato" Quiril, Joshua Grothe, Arben Bajraktaraj, John Bubniak, and Sam Hoare. This has plenty of imagery that's lifted directly from Blade Runner (and other sci-fi movies) but it still looks damn good, with impressive VFX and different stories to watch.

No stranger to playing not-so-upstanding knights in shining armor, Jaime Lannister himself, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, has boarded "Virtue," a medieval gothic horror movie that HanWay Films is taking to the European Film Market. Founded in 1999, HanWay is a British sales, distribution, and marketing company that's managed to get a pretty eclectic batch of films made over the years. Their output ranges from celebrated documentaries to Oscar-nominated period dramas to a bevy of auteur projects from the likes of David Cronenberg ("A Dangerous Method"), Takashi Miike ("13 Assassins"), Jim Jarmusch ("Only Lovers Left Alive"), and many more.

If that's not enough to get you sitting up and taking notice, know that "Virtue" further pairs Coster-Waldau with Romola Garai, the star of "Atonement," "Suffragette," and one of the best BBC series you've never seen, Abi Morgan's 1950s-set TV journalism drama "The Hour." Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Romola Garai are teaming for gothic horror Virtue, heading to the European Film Market with HanWay Films.

The feature is set to be directed by Joanna Coates, who in 2014 won the Michael Powell award for best British feature at the Edinburgh Film Festival for her film Hide & Seek, and was written by Sam Hoare (Having You, The English Game series, A Gentleman in Moscow series).

Game Of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Romola Garai are set to star in Joanna Coates’s gothic horror Virtue, which Hanway Films will launch sales on at the EFM later this month.

Set in England in 1350, Coster Waldau will star as heroic knight St. Peter who returns from war with his teenage son to discover a plague-ravaged homeland riven by social unrest, superstition and fear.

After controversially preventing a woman from being burned to death on the superstition of being a witch, he attempts to re-establish his reputation by embarking on a quest to find a female villager who has vanished into the local forest, believed to be haunted by locals.

But when he and his men track down the woman and her “possessed” daughters, events take an unexpected turn, and it becomes clear they do not want to be rescued.

HanWay Films is launching worldwide sales at the upcoming European Film Market (EFM) at Berlin on gothic horror film “Virtue.”

The film stars Emmy-winning actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (“Game of Thrones”) and BAFTA nominated Romola Garai (“Becoming Elizabeth”). It is directed by Joanna Coates, who won best British feature at the Edinburgh Film Festival for “Hide & Seek.”

Hanway Films to launch Joanna Coates’ gothic horror at the EFM.

Game Of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Romola Garai are to star in gothic horror Virtue, on which HanWay Films is to launch sales at the upcoming EFM.

It will be directed by UK filmmaker Joanna Coates, who won best British feature at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2014 for her romantic drama Hide & Seek, and is written by Sam Hoare, whose credits include feature Having You and Netflix miniseries The English Game.

The production aims to start shooting at the end of Q3 this year.

Joanne Froggatt has begun filming her first project since wrapping up her time in Downton Abbey earlier this month.

The actress will play serial murderer Mary Ann Cotton in ITV's upcoming Victorian drama Dark Angel, which has started shooting in North Yorkshire and County Durham.

Froggatt's character sounds like the complete opposite to Downton's dependable maid Anna Bates, as she has a secret history of adultery, bigamy, fraud and murder.

With each killing, Cotton increases her social and financial standing in Victorian society, while no-one suspects that she could be behind the horrendous crimes. So don't mess with her.

Dark Angel will also star Alun Armstrong, Jonas Armstrong, Laura Morgan, Sam Hoare, Emma Fielding and Penny Layden.

ITV will soon announce the airdates for the two-part series.

Froggatt will return for the final series of Downton Abbey next month, which will conclude with its Christmas special on Christmas Day.

Exclusive: Wigwam Films’ Under the Shadow underway in Jordan.

Farsi-language horror film Under the Shadow, written and directed by BAFTA-nominated Babak Anvari (Two & Two), has begun shooting in Amman, Jordan.

Set in post-revolution Tehran, during the Iran-Iraq war, the film a follows a young mother who remains with her six-year-old daughter when others are fleeing local fighting.

The mother soon begins to believe an unexploded missile has carried evil spirits into her home and possessed her daughter.

The film is produced and financed by London-based Wigwam Films, and is supported by the Doha Film Institute, Creativity Capital and Mena Film.

Narges Rashidi (Æon Flux) leads the cast, with Bobby Naderi (Argo) and Ray Haratian (Argo, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) also set to appear.

Producers for Wigwam are Lucan Toh, Emily Leo, and Oliver Roskill with Donall McCusker on board as co-producer.

BBC Two has announced production on new drama Life In Squares, which focuses on the revolutionary Bloomsbury Group.

The Bloomsbury Group were a collection of artistic friends in the early 1900s who profoundly influenced 20th century culture. The group included sisters Vanessa Bell and Virginia Woolf.

The cast is led by young stars Phoebe Fox (A Poet in New York) and Lydia Leonard (Wolf Hall) and also features James Norton (Happy Valley), Sam Hoare (An Adventure in Space & Time) and Ben Lloyd-Hughes (Divergent). Edmund Kingsley (The Borgias) and Sherlock actor Ed Birch also star.

Independent films have a tough time getting exposure so when one turns up that really impresses you, it makes you want to shout from a mountaintop for people to take the time to see it. Keeping Rosy is an example of a film that deserves to be noticed, but did you know it is released starting tomorrow, June 27th? I’m sure the answer is no; and that is a real weakness in the film industry in the UK at the moment. Smaller movies tend to get lost in all the publicity for the “blockbusters.” Films like Keeping Rosy deserve to be seen and to be a success, in my review hopefully I’ll show why.

Image Entertainment has scored the U.S. distribution rights to the sequel to Greg McLean's cult horror hit "Wolf Creek" with a 2014 release being targeted. John Jarratt returns as homicidal bushman Mick Taylor who preys on backpackers in the Australian Outback.

HanWay has acquired world rights, excluding UK and Australia, to the Nick Cave music documentary "20,000 Days on Earth" for a late 2014 release. The film...

Film Movement has picked up North American rights to Sam Hoare’s debut Having You from High Point Films and TV.

Romola Garai, Anna Friel and Andrew Buchan star in the story of a man who discovers he has a seven year-old son from a long forgotten one-night stand.

We had a feeling that An Adventure in Space and Time would be aired over the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who celebration weekend, but the exact day and time were still to be specified. Exclusive: High Point inks multiple TV deals on Sam Hoare’s Having You.

Carey Fitzgerald’s High Point Media Group has racked up a number of TV deals on Sam Hoare’s debut feature Having You, starring Anna Friel, Romola Garai and Andrew Buchan.

In the UK, pay TV and free TV deals have closed with BSkyB and the BBC, respectively.

Additional sales are toViasat (Scandinavia), HBO (Central Europe), Film 1 (Netherlands), Rialto Film Channel (New Zealand) and BBC Australia.

Producers on the contemporary relationship drama are Lucan Toh, Oliver Roskill and Emily Leo for WigWam Films.

Romola Garai, 30, was born in Hong Kong. She dropped out of university to appear in the TV film The Last Of The Blonde Bombshells, and went on to star in the 2003 film I Capture The Castle and 2004's Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. More recently, she appeared in Atonement and One Day. She was Bafta-nominated for her role in the BBC's The Crimson Petal And The White and played Bel in The Hour. A campaigner for women's rights, she supports the International Rescue Committee's Wake Up campaign. She is expecting a baby with the actor Sam Hoare.

With the Olympics in London, BBC looks at the last time the Summer Games were in the British city, the historical Olympics in 1948 in the sports movie Going for Gold – The ’48 Games.

The 1948 London Games was the first Olympics held after World War II and the first Games in 12 years because they were cancelled due to the war. Host London was still struggling with the effects of WWII, but it was a team of British rowers who embodied the battling spirit of the Games.

Doctor Who‘s Matt Smith is getting into the Olympic spirit for BBC America’s new drama Going for Gold – The ’48 Games. The one-off 90 minute special retells the tale of two Britons who were thrown together as team mates for the British rowing team just before the 1948 London Olympics. The duo won gold and laid the ground work for what has become a British Olympic rowing dynasty.

Smith’s boat buddie is played by Sam Hoare (The Doctors) and other notables among the cast include James Frain (The Tudors), Geoffrey Palmer (As Time Goes By) and Douglas Hodge (Red Cap).
