Zachary Gordon, the voice actor behind Genshin Impact character Tighnari, has found himself at the center of a major online controversy. 

Gordon's name has been associated with the popular free-to-play action RPG since April 2023, as he was brought on to replace the English voice actor of Forest Ranger, Tighnari - one of the playable Dendro characters in the game.

The Genshin voice actor is best known for his work in movies and television, having appeared as Greg Heffley in the first three Diary of a Wimpy Kid films in the early-to-mid 2010s.

Exclusive: Filmmaker Walter Hill was honored with a Tribute Ceremony in France on Tuesday evening, which marked the opening night of the International Thriller Film Festival – Reims Polar.

A retrospective of Hill’s films are being shown at the festival, which runs through April 10, including The Warriors, 48 Hrs., starring Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte, Extreme Prejudice, Last Man Standing and Bullet to the Head, starring Sylvester Stallone. Trafalgar Releasing is reporting a strong box office of $568,000 at 414 North American locations for its one-night screening on Feb. 7 of “The Music Center Presents Joni 75: A Birthday Celebration.”

The film achieved the highest per screen average of all titles of more than 100 locations. “Joni 75” was performed on Joni Mitchell’s 75th birthday with tributes from Brandi Carlile, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, Kris Kristofferson, Graham Nash, Seal, James Taylor and Rufus Wainwright.

A fourth big-screen outing for the amiable family franchise features a new cast but it’s run out of fun

Faced with ageing or refusenik performers, the amiable family franchise’s fourth big-screen outing elects for ruthless, root-and-branch recasting. Alicia Silverstone and Tom Everett Scott are new and 33% blander as the Heffley elders, while Jason Drucker succeeds Zachary Gordon as eponymous weakling Greg, here caught plotting to reroute the clan’s road trip towards a much-anticipated gaming expo. Returning director David Bowers gives it sporadic pep: there’s a fun Psycho homage, and CGI projectile vomit. Elsewhere the books’ stick-figure illustrations get converted into banal, overlit, primetime sitcom images, and the endless off-route wheelspinning makes that subtitle lamentably apt. For once, it’ll be the grownups asking the kids: “Are we there yet?”

Jason Ian Drucker ("Every Witch Way") and Owen Asztalos ("Paterson") have been cast as the young leads of a reboot of "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid" franchise in the works at Fox and Color Force.

David Bowers, who helmed two of the three previous live-action films which ran from 2010 to 2012, is returning to direct the new feature based on Jeff Kinney's series of books - more specifically the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul" title.

Drucker will replace Zachary Gordon as the main character Greg Heffley who convinces his family to embark on a summer road trip to attend Meemaw's 90th birthday - so he can secretly attend what he thinks is a nearby gamer convention. But the diversion takes them wildly off course, and Greg must figure out how to get his family back on track.

There’s something freeing in knowing that you won’t have to feel conflicted about reviewing something, in this case Dead of Summer. Sure, I’ll probably find a few enjoyable morsels here and there about this show but overall, these recaps are just going to be one big roast. Episode 2 recap begins below, and it’s a doozy. You can watch along on Hulu or on the official Freeform website, if you’re feeling masochistic.

First, let me just say that this episode title is the kind of pseudo-Stephen King nonsense I was hoping this series wouldn’t devolve into. The music is synth-heavy and obnoxious to just the right extent, the setting is ominously idyllic, and its characters rock their mysterious backstories as much as their tubular nicknames (“Cricket” and “Blotter,” for starters). The show’s cheesy thrills, wherein rodents and “innocent” counselors sub in for jump scares 100% of the time every time, are just energetic and economical enough to wrap you up in a script that, unfortunately, shows its tween-friendly Freeform-ness more often than not.

Un Gallo con Muchos Huevos translates into English as A Rooster with Many Eggs. Which doesn’t make any sense: roosters don’t have eggs or lay eggs; hens do that. But of course in Spanish, huevos is slang for “balls”… that is, testicles. So a fair transliteration of the title of this flick is A Rooster with Lots of Balls, or maybe just A Rooster with Balls. Which means that this CGI cartoon — in which the word huevos gets uttered a lot, and which features anthropomorphized eggs with arms and legs and faces and names — was intended to be one long dick joke. You know, for kids.
