Farah Naaz Hashmi is an Indian Bollywood actress from the mid-1980s and 1990s. Naaz made her debut under Yash Raj Banner in Faasle (1985). She starred opposite the late Sunil Dutt and Rekha in the film. Next, she was seen in the Bengali film Amar Tumi (1989) opposite Prasenjit Chatterjee and directed by Bimal Roy.
In 1986, Naaz starred in Naseeb Apna Apna (1986) opposite the late Rishi Kapoor. The film was a remake of the Tamil film Gopurangal Saayvathillai (1982) and was one of the landmark films of her career. Naaz was next seen in Imaandaar (1987), directed by Sushil Malik and starring the late Sunil Dutt.
In 1988, Naaz starred in two films Woh Phir Aayegi (1988), a horror film directed by B.R. Ishara, and Yateem (1988), a romantic drama directed by J.P. Dutta. She also starred in many other films, including Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri (1990), Begunaah (1991), and Sautela Bhai (1996).
She was later seen in multiple TV serials, including Amar Prem (1996) and Andaz. She has also played the role of Neha in Deepak Anand's Bhai No 1 (2000). In 2002, she starred in Bharat Bhagya Vidhata (2002). In 2004, she played the role of Gopi in Priyadarshan's Hulchul, and in 2005 she starred in Shikhar (2005).
