John Charles Hunt was born in the Inwood Park section of Washington
Heights, New York City in 1957, and was raised in Old Bridge, New
Jersey. Joining the Army in 1975, trained as an artillery gunner and
forward observer in the 24th Infantry Division at Hunter Army Airfield
in Savannah Georgia. Started in base as a community theater
participant, got a taste of the theater and acting in supporting roles.
In 1983, John became a truck driver and teamster for his professional
career. Moving to Bucks County Pennsylvania in the 90's, John became
active in the independent film movement in Philadelphia.
At the age of 45, John began his career in film making with his first screenplay; "Jersey Justice". Raising money and securing an award winning cast, John took the helm as producer/director, starting his own company Sayre Woods Media. Since then, John enjoys being an award winning film maker, author, critic and actor involved in The Bucks Fever Film Festival, The Downbeach Film Festival, The Hoboken Film Festival, and The Garden State Film Festival as a moderator and guest speaker and host.
Married in 2002 to Kathlyn Joy Foster, and stepfather to Gabriel Haslego. John is still active in producing feature films, corporate videos, and screen writing.
