Anne Gesthuysen was born on 2 October 1969 in Geldern, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. She is an actress and writer, known for Verbotene Liebe (1995), Morgenmagazin (1992) and Wir sind doch Schwestern (2018). She has been married to Frank Plasberg since August 2012. They have one child.

Studied journalism at the University of Dortmund.

Has lived together with TV host <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0686697/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Frank Plasberg</a> since 2007.
