- Tania Fisher has been a professional actress and voice over artist since she was 15 years old. Fisher lives in NYC spending her time supporting film makers, playwrights, and actors, in various capacities. Fisher was born in Adelaide, South Australia, as Tania Piscioneri. She is an actress, voice over artist, director, producer, theater reviewer, arts industry-insider author, children's book author, editor, and dramaturge. She was known for Breaking Point (2001), Glad Rags (1995) and Neighbours (2008). Born to Italian immigrants, she was educated at the prestigious private girls' school, Wilderness, in Medindie, South Australia. At 15 she was head-hunted to provide the voice-over for a TV Commercial for the Australian Dental Association, which became the beginning of a life-long voice acting career. She was known as the actress of the school, breaking school records for drama prizes received, and she succeeded in obtaining acting work in a state that had only one acting agent. She started out working as an extra in feature films that generally had to have a known American or British lead actor in order to secure funding and be filmed in Australia. She legally changed her surname from Piscioneri to the rough quasi English translation; Fisher, "so as not to offend my father." In her 20s she moved to Melbourne where acting work was more prevalent and succeeded in obtaining small roles in feature films, playing the lead role in theater productions, and leads in independently funded feature films. She co-produced independent feature films, and also became involved in casting and script writing. She attended the Cannes Film Festival twice, receiving a co-producer award in 2004. She has appeared in several national TV Commercials, and guest roles in TV shows, including guest starring as "Anita Katz" in the iconic Australian soap drama, Neighbours in 2008. At one point Fisher could be seen in four national TV Commercials airing at the same time. Fisher spent two years working as an actress and voice over artist in England, most notably co-starring as "Linda" in Alan Bennett's, "Kafka's Dick" at the Garrick Theater. Fisher relocated to New York City in 2013 and now works as an actor in film and theater, film production management, stage management, mentor for newcomers at NYC Acting Studios, dramaturg, Theater Reviewer for Theater Pizzazz, and Industry-Insider Article Author most notably published in Broadway World. In 2019 she assisted Lainie Kazan in developing her biography. By: Lori Beedsler- IMDb Mini Biography By: Lori Beedsler

- I believe in remembering what's important and keeping some perspective. If someone is talking negatively about me, being rude, or mean to me, I think to myself: When the big rock comes and crushes us all, did this even matter?
- I play characters a lot younger than I really am and I am perfectly comfortable lying about my age. My view on it is: A lady never reveals, and a gentleman never asks.
