Patricia Arquette and Tom Felton have joined the cast of They Will Kill You, the thriller being produced by Nocturna Pictures, the horror label formed earlier this year by Skydance and Andy and Barbara Muschietti.
New Line is co-financing and distributing the feature, which will have Kirill Sokolov in the director’s chair when shooting gets underway in mid-September.
Zazie Beetz is toplining They Will Kill You, which is described as a horror feature laced with black humor and telling the story of a woman (Beetz) who answers a help wanted ad to be a housekeeper in a mysterious high-rise in New York City, not realizing she is entering a community that has seen a number of disappearances over the years and may be under the grip of a Satanic cult. The project has been described as being a tonal mix of Ready or Not and The Raid.

The Jeepers Creepers franchise began with a bang in 2001, capturing the imaginations and nightmares of horror fans with its introduction of the Creeper, a demonic entity that awakens every 23 years to feast on human flesh. Directed by Victor Salva, the original film stood out for its eerie atmosphere, relentless suspense, and the enigmatic terror of the Creeper, portrayed by Jonathan Breck. It struck a chord with audiences, becoming a sleeper hit and grossing over $59 million worldwide. The sequel in 2003 continued to build on this mythology, focusing on a group of stranded teenagers and further cementing the Creeper as a formidable horror icon despite mixed reviews. However, the third installment in 2017 signaled a steep decline, with a disjointed narrative, lackluster special effects, and a failure to capture the franchise’s original suspense and terror. Despite these ups and downs, the franchise’s enduring legacy and dedicated fanbase prompted a reboot with...

Thanks to his iconic part in the Harry Potter movies, Tom Felton became a global star, but due to his being so closely associated with Draco Malfoy, the actor saw little success in finding prominent lead parts after leaving the Wizarding World. Felton’s career has been going well all these years, and yet, he just could book another breakthrough gig that would free him from his Harry Potter chains.
Until now, that is: Tom Felton is heading straight into a dystopian future.
What Is Tom Felton’s New Gig?
Tom Felton is ready to switch his wand for a modern weapon. According to Variety, the Draco Malfoy star recently booked a lead part in the upcoming action sci-fi movie Altered. It will be directed by Iron Sky’s Timo Vuorensola and is expected to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2025. The movie’s production budget is around $15M.

Tom Felton, best-known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” franchise, is to star in the $15 million action/sci-fi film “Altered,” alongside Richard Brake, Igor Jijikine (“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”), Aggy K. Adams (“The Witcher”) and Liza Bugulova.
The film is set in an alternate present, where most of the human population have undergone genetic enhancements. Two courageous outcasts, Leon (Felton) and Chloe (Bugulova), become embroiled in a battle for justice within a society fractured by genetic disparity and in the grip of corrupt politicians.
“Altered” is directed by Finnish filmmaker Timo Vuorensola, best-known for creating the “Iron Sky” franchise and who most recently directed “Jeepers Creepers: Reborn” and “97 Minutes,” starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alec Baldwin.

Above the North Atlantic Ocean, a terrorist group hijack Oceanic Flight 420. The countdown begins as the Nsa try finding a way to combat the situation before the plane’s fuel runs out. Director Hawkins (Alec Baldwin) plans to shoot down the plane before it does catastrophic damage on the ground, although Deputy Toyin (Jo Martin) wishes to put faith in their asset; an Interpol agent working undercover amongst the hijackers.

Pavan Grover, a writer and producer on the recent action thriller “97 Minutes” starring Alec Baldwin, has spoken out about standing firm with the star in the aftermath of “Rust.”
Grover, a Houston-based spinal surgeon with a passion for cinema, debuted as a writer in 2002 with “Unspeakable” starring Dennis Hopper, and served as a producer on “Odd Thomas” (2013), based on Dean Koontz’s novel and directed by Stephen Sommers (“The Mummy”).
Grover pitched the idea of “97 Minutes” — a ticking-clock thriller in which a hijacked airplane has 97 minutes before it runs out of fuel — when he met Baldwin serendipitously at Sundance in early 2021. Once Baldwin was attached, the project raised coin via presales, distribution and American and international debt financing, based on the actor’s value in those markets.

Directed by Timo Vuorensola and starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alec Baldwin, “97 Minutes” raises a difficult moral dilemma: is it worth sacrificing an entire plane of innocent people to save the lives of thousands? The movie takes us on an entertaining ride of action, suspense, and tension aboard a 767.
Original? Not really, but it’s a decent watch for a lazy afternoon and easily forgettable the next day.
Storyline
A hijacked 767 will crash in just 97 minutes when it runs out of fuel. Against the strong will of Toyin, the Nsa’s deputy, Director Hawkins prepares to shoot down the plane before it causes catastrophic damage on the ground, leaving the fate of the innocent passengers in the hands of Tyler, one of the supposed hijackers on board, who is an undercover Interpol agent. . or is he?

Snakes on a Plane, Air Force One, and Red Eye are a few classics that have one thing in common. The major plot of the film transpires in an airplane several thousand feet above the ground. Flight movies are a sub-genre of thriller movies, and 97 Minutes, the new movie by Timo Vuorensola starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alec Baldwin, is another addition to that entertaining list.
The story of the film revolves around the hijacking of Oceanic Flight 420, which only has 97 minutes of fuel left. The hijackers are unaware that they have an Interpol agent in their gang. Nsa Director Hawkins and his team try to exploit this fact to save the lives of the people on the plane as well as avoid a possible nuclear holocaust.
Spoilers Ahead

"What we do today... is the beginning of their end." 101 Films has revealed a trailer for 97 Minutes, yet another airplane hijacking thriller coming up (also see: Idris Elba in Hijack). This one is a UK production, filmed in the UK, and it's directed by the Finnish filmmaker Timo Vuorensola, best known for the two Iron Sky movies. In a race against time, a hijacked 767 hurtles towards disaster, with its fuel reserves dwindling rapidly... Despite strong opposition, Nsa Director Hawkins takes a bold step ordering the plane to be shot down... The lives of the innocent passengers now rest solely in the hands of Alex (Meyers) an undercover Interpol agent, who has been embedded in the terrorist cell. The clock is ticking, with only 97 Minutes – can he save them? Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars as the man on the plane, with Alec Baldwin as Hawkins, plus MyAnna Buring, Jo Martin, Michael Sirow,...

The mountains of Switzerland. Fresh air. Fresh faced young people, full of love. Wild flowers and waterfalls and...cheese smuggling? This Alpine Paradise might not be quite what you thought it was. Iron Sky director Timo Vuorensola may have delivered a disappointment with that film’s sequel, but with his producer hat on he’s back on form with this unlikely tale of totalitarianism, resistance and revenge.
The cheese smuggler is Goat Peter (Kel Matsena), whose affectionate relationship with his caprine charges has inspired him to create his own products high amongst the peaks. This is a serious offence in a mountain land under the sway of tyrannical leader and cheese magnate President Meili (Casper Van Dien). When the military police track him down, they also arrest his girlfriend Heidi (Alice Lucy), taking a more serious interest upon discovering that she’s the daughter of an old revolutionary. That’s their first mistake.

Ah yes, here we have another Jeepers Creepers film. Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is the fourth in the franchise, a reboot of the series and the first not to be directed by the Very problematic Victor Salva… but also, is it – as some have said – easily the worst of all the films too?
Forced to travel with her boyfriend, Laine begins to experience premonitions associated with the urban myth of The Creeper. She believes that something supernatural has been summoned – and that she is at the center of it all.
Directed by Timo Vuorensola, Jeepers Creepers Reborn is out now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital, courtesy of 101 Films. You can also read a review of the film right here.

Wild and elaborate deaths are part and parcel of genre movies, a blood-soaked world where filmmakers are often in competition to raise the splatter bar as high as possible. Speaking of bars, one film has surely deserves some kind of prize for this year’s most creative — and culturally appropriate — offing, a death in a which an entire triangular tube of Toblerone is hammered into a man’s mouth and out the other side. In another scene, a prisoner is waterboarded with steaming hot fondue (Ok, the fondue is tipped over his eyes while his mouth is stuffed with croutons).
Introducing Mad Heidi, an insane action-adventure horror-comedy described as the “world’s first Swissploitation movie,” and without a doubt the most ridiculous take on the beloved pig-tailed, Alps-living orphan girl Johanna Spyri wrote about 140 years ago.

The franchise reboot Jeepers Creepers: Reborn was given a three-day theatrical release back in September and a VOD release earlier this month (you can watch it on Amazon at This Link). Next up is a physical media release, with the movie set to reach Blu-ray and DVD on November 15th. Seems to me three weeks earlier would have been a better release date, so people could watch it in time for Halloween. But that’s what the VOD version is for, I suppose. Copies of the discs can be pre-ordered Here.

Plot: The Creeper returns to terrorize Horror Hound attendees who win the chance to enter a Creeper-themed escape room in a supposedly haunted house.
Review: While I have always thought that The Creeper was a great monster that had the potential to be a new genre icon, the Jeepers Creepers franchise is a difficult one to support and defend for a variety of reasons. The biggest problem, of course, is the fact that it was created by Victor Salva, who was convicted of molesting the young star of his 1989 film Clownhouse. Many viewers who saw the first Jeepers Creepers in 2001 weren’t aware of Salva’s crime – but now that there’s greater awareness of what he did, some understandably choose not to watch his movies at all. It does tarnish the movies to know who made them. And while the first Jeepers Creepers was a good creature feature, it...

When a young couple wins a stay at a Creeper-themed escape room there’s no way out from stagey panics and shoddy bloodletting
The Creeper, from the 2001 horror film Jeepers Creepers, has always been in the Vanarama National League of cinematic bogeymen, but the batwing-faced old trouper still deserves better than this shoddy, aesthetically ugly reboot. It reprises the original redneck highway setup in its prologue, with two pensioners replacing Justin Long and Gina Phillips. But Finnish director Timo Vuorensola bypasses the first film’s lean and highly strung qualities in a half-hearted attempt to update the franchise – now with no input from its original creator, disgraced director Victor Salva – for horror-savvy 21st-century punters.
The ill-fated seniors at the beginning quickly become another pair of missing persons chalked off to the Creeper, as recounted in a YouTube documentary being lapped up by horror fanboy Chase (Imran Adams). He’s...

Alec Baldwin has found his next pair of acting projects on the heels of the shooting on the Albuquerque set of his Western Rust, Deadline has confirmed.
He will star alongside his brother Daniel Baldwin and Elva Trill in the live-action/animated Christmas family comedies Kid Santa and Billie’s Magic World, from Italian director Francesco Cinquemani, with production to take place in Rome. Both Baldwins will produce the titles from Minerva Pictures and Andrea Iervolino and Monica Bacardi’s Ilbe.
Alec Baldwin last collaborated with Cinquemani on the sci-fi pic Andron: The Black Labyrinth. His involvement with the director’s latest films reportedly preceded the Rust incident, which saw him discharge a prop gun, which killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, while injuring director Joel Souza.

In 2012, Udo Kier appeared in Iron Sky as Wolfgang, the Führer of the Nazis, who – in the peculiar vision of Finnish director Timo Vuorensola – managed to survive after the end of WWII and traveled to the dark side of the Moon. Kier’s antagonistic character was, certainly, important, but in all fairness he didn’t have a lot of screen time back then, to the point that the Moon Führer gets killed in the middle of the story. But the new and crazier Iron Sky: The Coming Race is here now and those who enjoy the always noteworthy presence of the cult German actor will be pleasantly surprised. In the sequel, set in 2047 (29 years after the events of Iron Sky), Kier is not...

In 2047, 29 years after the events of the original Iron Sky, young Obi (Lara Rossi), the daughter of Renate (Julia Dietze) and the now deceased James Washington (Christopher Kirby in the first film), is one of the few persons who’s trying to do something about the fact that the Moon is now a very troubled place. While the Nazis are long gone, the Moon suffers from overpopulation, social inequality, health issues, constant quakes, and even from a dominant and privileged religious cult that worships Steve Jobs. When a spaceship strangely arrives from Earth, even if everybody thought life there was nonexistent, things in Timo Vuorensola’s Iron Sky: The Coming Race...

This Iron Sky franchise is just one of those super bonkers things that some audiences just can’t help but enjoy. In this next chapter the adventure goes from the moon to the center of the Earth!

Exclusive: Vertical Entertainment has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Iron Sky 2: The Coming Race, a sequel to the cult sci-fi parody that returns director Timo Vuorensola and those Nazis in space that so buzzed the Berlin Film Festival when the original bowed there in 2012.
The new pic stars Lara Rossi, Tom Green, Vladimir Burlakov, Kit Dale and the return of Udo Kier, and will feature the mix of B-movie plot and A-list effects that made the first one work so well. Myriad Pictures is aboard to hande worldwide sales and will screen the film for buyers beginning next week at the Cannes film market. Vertical plans a July 19 day-and-date theatrical and digital release in the U.S.

Back in 2008 the Cannes Film Festival saw a number of highly regarded films play, with Laurent Cantet’s The Class walking away with the coveted Palme D’or. Woody Allen’s Vicky Christina Barcelona caused audiences to swoon, Terence Davies’ sublime Of Time and the City had its first play alongside Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. It was the very definition of a mixed bag. However there was one film, not yet complete, which almost stole the show.
Armed with a fantastic idea and a captivating teaser trailer director Timo Vuorensola blasted through the glitz and glamour to drum up interest in his film Iron Sky – a film about Nazis on the Moon. I remember the reactions to that trailer, and just a few years later wrote up the first proper news article about it on HeyUGuys. The film was a hit, and made good on its crazy premise.

In this baffling sci-fi fantasy sequel, a rag-tag crew of adventurers encounter dinosaurs and reptilian Nazis at the centre of the Earth
Never has the concept of “one for the diehard fans” been so applicable as it is to Timo Vuorensola’s scattershot, stakes-free, self-consciously wacky space comedy. Its existence is baffling until you realise that this sequel to a 2012 sci-fi yarn about Nazis on the moon was entirely crowdfunded.
The Coming Race kicks off in 2047. Earth has been destroyed by nuclear war and the thousand or so human survivors have relocated to a former Nazi base on the moon. They are led nominally by the ailing, regal Renate (Julia Dietze) but her daughter, plucky narrator-heroine Obi (Lara Rossi), is the one who’s really in charge. (Her Star Wars nod of a name is one of many gratuitous hat-tips to better and more successful cultural properties.)...

“Focus: Nordic Comedy is a tribute to the contemporary Nordic comedy and an attempt to try to understand humor’s social and political role in today’s culture,” says Göteborg fest artistic director Jonas Holmberg. He admits that it was partially conceived as an antidote to the fest’s other focus on the Apocalypse. He says, “The Apocalypse was the first one we came up with. It really engaged us, but we were worried that it might seem too dark or too hopeless.”
He added: Then we realized that the last four out of five winners of the European Film Awards for best comedy came from the Nordic countries; that they were films whose success was not just in their home territories.”
It’s true. Nordic comedies are becoming as popular world-wide as Nordic noir. The Swedish film “A Man Called Ove,” adapted from the popular book by Fridrik Backman and directed by Hannes Holm,...

"...20 years after a nuclear war, Earth has become an inhospitable place. Survivors rally together on a former 'Third Reich' moon base. Over the years a large human colony has formed, with its own fascist government and religions, including the 'Jobists', a cult that formed around the teachings of 'Steve Jobs' and their leader (Tom Green).

“Many people will think of this as a scene from a fantasy.. science fiction movie,” said North Korean president Kim Jong-un on Tuesday of his meeting with U.S. leader Donald Trump in Singapore.
Producers of the European sci-fi picture “Iron Sky” in which Nazis were found to have been hiding on the dark side of the moon, were quick to take credit. “Did Kim Jong-un just make a vague Iron Sky reference? I may be over my head thinking, but then again..” producer Timo Vuorensola said on Twitter. Kim is known to be something of a movie buff, so the reference may not have been accidental.
Adding to the unreality of the meeting, the Capella Hotel venue is only a stone’s throw from the Universal theme park.

Finnish director Timo Vuorensola has taken to Indiegogo to fund an additional scene in forthcoming sequel Iron Sky The Coming Race.
The film’s team reveals that in this unique scene, “the reptilian shape-shifter Margaret Thatcher falls from her dinosaur-drawn chariot and is crushed to death when a sun rolls over her.”
The scene was shot during production but the effects budget was used to work on other scenes. But now Vuorensola hopes his audience can help via crowdfunding.
“We have hundreds of shots with big effects in the film and we have to think very hard where to spend the budget in order to make the best possible film. Sometimes that means cutting scenes that are good, but possibly not as essential to the plot,” said Vuorensola.
“Some cuts however hurt more than others and I did not want to leave poor Margaret on the cutting room floor. Because the budget is locked the only way...
