- Melanie Pilon is an actor/director from Montreal, Canada. She started her acting career in 2003 and has since been featured in over 30 television series, such as Plan B, Chaos, Alertes, Comme dés têtes pas de poules, Jenny, Unité 9, Les Ex, Lance et compte,Toute la vérité and Mémoires vives. On the big screen we have seen her work in La Petite Reine, from director Alexis Durand-Brault, and Inès, from Renée Beaulieu. For the past 8 years, she has also been giving acting workshops for both beginners and professionals, as well as been an in-house acting coach for various television dramas.
Always interested in expanding her horizons, in 2016 she wrote, directed and starred in Assises, her first short film which garnered a few awards on the festival circuit. Soon followed Trapped, a web series created during the intensive Director's Program at l'INIS film school. This too went on to earn numerous nominations across the globe, among which « Best Director » and « Best Student Series » at the Sydney Web Fest, plus an award for « Best French Canadian Series » at the T.O. Webfest 2021. Last year was especially busy for her, directing both Judith Baribeau's short poignant drama Worthy, as well as Tanya Henri's short comedy Mission Cohesion.
