Justin D. Hilliard was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He's been making
films since the age of ten years old. Justin attended the University of
Texas at Arlington and received his BFA in Film. While attending UTA, Justin formed a collaboration with digital
artist/cinematographer, Ryan Hartsell. Immediately after graduating, Justin & Ryan
decided to make their first feature film, 'Wednesday'. The film shot in Texas, California, & London, England. In May 2007, Justin married his longtime girlfriend & collaborator,
Arianne Martin. In the summer of 2008, Striped Socks Productions,(now
with producer Arianne Martin on the team), began production on the
comedy/drama,'The Other Side of Paradise'. The film had its world premiere at the 2009 AFI
Dallas International Film Festival and played in over thirty festivals
(winning several awards). The film was released theatrically in New
York City on December 18th. Most recently, Justin's work
'A Father' was chosen to be included in the Lars Von Trier produced project
'Gesamt', which was showcased in several museums in Europe. Justin lives with his family in New Mexico, writing and prepping
future projects.
