We’ve got an intense action-packed clip from the movie Ad Astra for you to check out that features Brad Pitt’s character, Roy McBride, on a moon mission unlike any we’ve ever seen. The footage is beautiful and exciting, and makes me even more excited to see this movie. The clip shows off a chase sequence involving moon rovers and laser battle on the moon! It’s pretty spectacular stuff.

The film also features Tommy Lee Jones, Liv Tyler, Ruth Negga, Donald Sutherland, Anne McDaniels, John Ortiz, and Loren Dean. Here’s the synopsis:

I don't know who is behind the marketing for Joe Carnahan's Stretch, which is now available on iTunes and Amazon, but they are definitely going all out and it doesn't appear to be Universal is going anywhere near it. Poseidon Rex is more of a SciFi Action film but this one is so ridiculous that we just had to share it with you. In the film a small secluded island off the coast of Belize suddenly finds itself terrorized by a deadly predator from the planets distant past when deep sea divers accidentally awaken an ancient evil. Directed by Mark L. Lester written by Rafael Jordan and staring Brian Krause Anne McDaniels and Steven Helmkamp Posedion Rex will be released to iTunes and limited theaters on April 18 2014.

This fun, quirky, film is one to view during these coming cold nights, lest one lives near the equator. But here, all John Parsons has to do is to figure out how he really wants to live his final days. He can do it alone, or mend some fences.

There's nothing like the end of the world to give someone a new lease of life. But that's just what happens in director Chad Peter's new indie comedy fantasy Apocalypse, CA.

Throw in a 300ft giant, a genie granting magic wishes and a group of young people who want to enjoy every moment as the world heads towards annihilation and you get an idea of what's in store.

Chad has assembled this crazy goodie bag of genre filmmaking ideas for his debut feature film, which was completed last month and hits DVD, iTunes and Netflix on December 13.

Chad Peter is the director and the writer behind the fantasy thriller Apocalypse, CA. The film questions: what will you do when the world collapses? Impending death and extinction is promised in the form of an asteroid and the tagline states: "Life is just an asteroid away" (Apocalypse).

While viewers might make different plans of their own, the characters in the film choose hallucinogenic drugs to deal with their impending doom. The trailer shows the effects of taking such dangerous substances and viewers can preview the film with the trailer, inside.

My Thoughts:

It’s the end of the world and I feel fine. Actually, watching this trailer, I don’t exactly feel fine but damn I’m curious. Director Chad Peter isn’t working with a huge budget but he’s able to hide it very well in this “world is ending” movie. Something he can’t hide, a giant woman. Nor should he. Perfectly teased, I have no idea if this more than 50-foot woman is fantasy, delusion, or an allegory about environmental destruction.

It’s actually a little shocking that a film dealing with the boredom of impending annihilation doesn’t already exist. That seems to be the hook before the action comes. Mathis slides into the role of the every man we can identify with while trying to understand this world.

The indie feature "Apocalypse, Ca", is a new fantasy comedy, directed/produced by Chad Peter, starring Nick Mathis, Erin Bodine and Anne McDaniels.

Visual effects are by Emmy Award winner Ryan Wieber ("Ryan vs. Dorkman") and Teague Chrystie ("The Pacific").
