Wiliam Farnesi was born on September 9, 1967 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is a writer and director, known for the documentaries Novembre (2001), La canzone di Rimbaud (2003), Novembro (2005), Pietrafiore (2007), Lalla Romano l'inverno in me (2008) and the short movies Sera di Festa (2002) and Pioggia di Ceneri Senza Zucchero (2002).
Graduated in journalism in 1990, he worked for ten years at Bandeirantes, a Brazilian television network, and TV Cultura, a public network based in São Paulo, creating content for diverse areas with a particular focus on education and culture.
In 2000 he moved to Italy and received a master's degree in Storytelling after studying at Scuola Holden in Turin.
Since 2017, he is back to Brazil and presents Astro Síntese, a daily web series, on Instagram.
He is also a wrote three books: Poesia Cronica (2017), Zoo Naif (2018) and Poesia per principianti (2019).
