Emily Harper(I)
- Actress
Emily Harper is best known for her portrayal of the
glamorous-yet-relationship-challenged heiress Fancy Crane on the
daytime drama "Passions" (NBC / DirecTV). The actress made her debut on
the unconventional series on May 12, 2005 and tackled a wide range of
storylines over the course of more than 200 episodes.
Prior to landing "Passions," Harper's credits included an episode of the sitcom "Inside Schwartz" (Breckin Meyer) as well as various commercials including a spot for Mike's Hard Lemonade. However her most notable of prior credits would have to be her position as a member of the Pro Basketball Cheerleading Squad - The Laker Girls (2000-2003).
Throughout her years as a Laker Girl, Harper also hosted "Lakers TV" on which she interviewed celebrities and athletes, such as Andy Garcia and Kobe Bryant. Additional hosting credits include the KNBC program "yourLA" (2007).
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Harper knew early on that she wanted to eventually embark upon a career in the Entertainment Industry.
Young Harper and family moved from Cincinnati to St. Louis, then to New Jersey, back to St. Louis and finally to California during her sophomore year in high school. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles), with a degree in Dance, Harper's training included everything from Ballet to African Tribal.
Away from the television studios, Emily Harper enjoys taking Hip Hop classes, anything-fashion-related and traveling with her family.
