Travis is primarily known as an actor and director in science fiction and horror films. In 2003 he along with Joe Mohn and Justin Lamar created the film production company Eerie Frequency Entertainment. Early in his film career he directed the Ed Wood inspired film "Shadows In The Woods," which stars two actors from the Star Wars universe Michael Sheard and Eric Walker, along with Peter Mayhew appearing on the special features of the DVD. 1950's Ed Wood actor Conrad Brooks was a mentor to Travis for many years and also stars in both Shadows and also Travis's first film "2020 An American Nightmare."
As an actor Travis has appeared in many films for Doorway Productions such as "Goth Girls," "Creepy Clips Vault 3," and "Slaves Of Horrorland." He was also in the zombie film "Dead Life" which gained a cult following.
Travis's first professional film that he directed was "The Girl" which was released in 2011. It starred Playboy cover model Lisa Neeld, the original Jason Voorhees from "Friday The 13th" Ari Lehman, and Robert Z'Dar from the "Maniac Cop trilogy" and "Tango & Cash." Corey Haim was cast to be in the film and provided advice on his character but sadly passed before the completion of the movie.
In 2014 Travis began production for his second professional film as lead director, an action science fiction thriller known as "Midnight Massacre." He is also a lead character in the film portraying Julius Caesar. The movie co-stars Susie Feldman of "The Two Coreys" TV show, Linda Harrison who played Nova in "Planet Of The Apes" and "Beneath The Planet Of The Apes," Don Pedro Colley from George Lucas's "THX 1138" and "Beneath The Planet Of The Apes," Byron Cherry who played Coy Duke on "The Dukes Of Hazzard" TV show, and Matthew T Metzler from "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials." The movie follows a group of terrorists set in an apocalyptic near future led by Julius Caesar trying to create a new empire, it is loosely based on the William Shakespeare play Julius Caesar.
