Tom Martin has worked extensively in independent film, television and Off-Broadway and regional theater in a wide range of roles. He has played all types of humanity, from a deceptive newspaper editor (Bull), a concerned father (Law & Order: SVU), Gotham's most expensive lawyer (Gotham), an aggressive CEO (Whatever It Takes), a sad sack father/husband who goes postal (3-Iron), an avenging Western father (Contrition), a British serial rapist (MBFF, opposite Zazie Beetz), a witty doctor (Doctor Bello, opposite Isaiah Washington), an Horror mad scientist (Animosity), a troubled Priest (Acts of Contrition), a jealous husband (Pillow Talk, nominated Best Actor at Brightside Festival), an historical post Civil War spineless racist (Slavery By Another Name, Sundance selection, PBS), music genius John Fahey (Two Trains Runnin', New York Film Festival, Grammy Nomination Best Music Film). In theater he has acted in plays by Shakespeare, Chekhov, Miller, Williams and Rabe. The youngest of four brothers, Tom was born and raised in Oakland, CA and comes from Irish ancestry. He was an undergraduate English major at U.C. Berkeley when he first fell in love with acting. He received his M.F.A from the American Conservatory Theater of San Francisco and moved to New York City immediately after graduating A.C.T. He studied with William Esper in his 2 year Meisner acting program. He resides in Brooklyn, NY.
