Ümit Okur

He was born in Turkey. He studied high school and university in Germany. He completed his theater education at the University of Cologne in Germany. He played the leading roles in the plays Class Enemy and Kanaken at the Cologne City Theater, Wupertal City Theater and WLT Westfalen Regional Theater. He worked as an animator in holiday resorts in many countries such as the Bahamas, Cuba, Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Morocco, Kenya and Thailand. He introduced many talented young people to tourism and show business by starting animation in holiday resorts in Turkey. He took his first step into cinema when he was offered the role of Byzantine Commander-in-Chief Theodrakis in the movie Kahpe Byzantine by the producer Ferdi Egilmez, the owner of Arzu Film, whom he met during a show he made in 1999.
