Rebecca Gethings was born in 1976 in Alberta Canada but was raised in Berkshire, England.
She studied drama at The Webber Douglas Accademy, graduating in 1995.
Her early Roles included the West End production of Vassa , directed by Howard Davis, Eastenders and Ruth in the BBC2 series, Attachments.
In 2005, she was cast as Lizzie Bunton in Extras. In the episode, which centers around a pantomime starring Les Dennis, Gethings plays the daughter of camp pantomime director, Bunny, whose tragic 29th birthday party is only attended by elderly relatives and Maggie (Ashley Jensen)
Rebecca discovered a love for improvised comedy when working with the Amercian cast of the HBO series 'Veep'. She helped develop characters for Seasons 1 and 3 and also featured in a small role in the episode, 'Special Relationship'.
Her work with Armando Iannucci continued in 2012 when she played Helen Hatley, special advisor to Nicola Murray, in 4th series of The Thick of It.
