What many don’t realize is that twenty one years ago, in 2003, we got a hidden gem that unofficially is the best Uncharted movie so far and it is called, The Rundown! Video game adaptations often get a skeptical eye, and unfortunately, the official Uncharted film didn’t do much to change that perception.
Dwayne Johnson in The Rundown | Credits: Universal Pictures
This left a lot of people going back to rediscover The Rundown, the unofficial adaptation that actually did justice to the game, and it came out even before the game itself!
Dwayne Johnson Gave Us the Best Uncharted Movie in 2003!
So, how similar is The Rundown to Uncharted? Let’s break it down! The Uncharted video games definitely take a page from the Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider playbook. With its gut-punching action, strong and complex characters, and witty one-liners, one can easily argue that The Rundown likely inspired Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

The technological advancement, enjoyed in almost all spheres of human life, has some negative effects. The changes that the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought the society have created fear among many people due to the risk of taking away their jobs and professions.
Just as it is in the case of films, the visual effects sector, an integral part of contemporary cinema, is also at risk. It is in this light that the newest development, Stability AI and its Stable Diffusion text-to-image generator model has artists concerned. Surprisingly, a familiar name was linked with the ambitious company, as a popular director was welcomed on board. James Cameron’s decision to support the initiative has angered fans and artists online.

The Boys has never been subtle with its political messaging. Often on the nose with its satire, the series established its alliances very early into its run. Showcasing an image of real-life events, it painted very specific images of the far right and the far left. Although the series has a tendency to make fun of people from all corners of the political spectrum, their choice of villains showcases a clear support for the left-wing ideology of the show itself.

Wesley Snipes’ Blade, released in 1998, stands as a prominent landmark in superhero cinema. It paved the path for the significant Marvel movie adaptations of Spider-Man and X-Men. The Stephen Norrington brainchild still raises conversations among fans for its sleek action style.
While there are several notable action set pieces in the entire Blade Trilogy, nothing can top the opening Blood Rave scene from the first part. Even after 26 years, it is an excellent example of R-rated action done right.

Hideo Kojima is the legendary Japanese video game developer known for creating several brilliant video games like Death Stranding, Metal Gear, and many more. Yet the video game developer has a great affinity to movies and is often seen praising one or the other. Famous for his one-word remarks about movies that he abhorred, Kojima recently wrote a long paragraph on George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is not only stealing hearts, but he seems to be stealing quite a few perfect roles from major franchises too. Besides having his recent film The Fall Guy released in the theatres (he stars as Tom Ryder in it), he has another Marvel movie lined up, which, unfortunately, recently faced yet another postponed release date: Kraven the Hunter.

Although it is not new for the franchise to shift the release dates further down the road, this news still has fans springing up with conspiracy theories. That being said, one theory states that this further delay is presumably because of Taylor-Johnson’s casting as the new James Bond. And, as much as it would sound appealing to his fans, this theory might as well piss off Henry Cavill fans.

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, has faced grave allegations recently from Hollywood sweetheart Scarlett Johansson. This is regarding the AI personal assistant voice that Sky, one of the voices in the latest ChatGPT 4.0 model’s “Voice Mode,” sports. According to these accusations, the actress has claimed that this voice released sounds eerily similar to her own from the 2013 sci-fi movie, Her.

However, through his latest statement, Altman has denied all such allegations regarding the same. But what’s surprising is that even while refuting these claims, the company has actually issued a public apology for this new AI voice at the same time — something that has left users and netizens from all around the globe utterly confused about what the company is actually trying to do.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is here to stay, but not everyone is happy about it, particularly the audiences at SXSW. The festival is currently underway in Austin, Texas, with premiere screenings for movies such as The Fall Guy, Road House, Immaculate, and more. However, prior to the screenings, audiences were treated to a sizzle reel touting the benefits of AI, and they made their displeasure known by loudly booing in the theater.

As creative forces behind the world’s entertainment fight for change in the film and television industry, some artists think Marvel is pouring salt on open wounds by using AI to create the opening credits sequence for its new Disney+ series Secret Invasion. The series debuted to rave reviews last night. Still, artists who make their living by creating visual spectacles say Marvel’s use of AI to start the show’s opening credits is a slap to the face, especially during a time of extreme unrest.
In the Secret Invasion opening credits, the AI creates a painterly art style that continuously morphs as the names of cast and crew members appear on the screen. The look reflects the shapeshifting nature of the Skrulls, a menacing alien race that’s presumably been infiltrating the MCU for years. The smearing watercolor motif is stylish. However, knowing AI created the sequence instead...

The task may be tall as Roiland voiced many characters on the popular series, including the two main characters, Rick and Morty. Luckily for Adult Swim, dedicated fans are taking it upon themselves to submit mock auditions for the roles of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith.
Fans have taken to Twitter and TikTok to audition for the role of the titular characters following the ousting of Roiland. Many are pretty bad, but only a few fans take the auditions seriously.

"We all know that Chris is very big in getting everything on camera and doing things as real as possible." One of our most anticipated 2023 movies is Christopher Nolan's latest titled Oppenheimer, telling the story of the creation of the atomic bomb at Los Alamos in the 1940s. By now, most movie fans have heard the real news that Nolan created shots showing the nuclear explosion without using any CGI. Which is just a bit crazy? But also awesome. Nolan is famous for doing everything for real on set, with practical FX and set pieces and stunts. Last year someone made a joke about how he probably thought about detonating a real nuke just to get the perfect shot. Taking that joke even further: "I can't believe they released the footage of Christopher Nolan dropping a real nuke!" Filmmaker Stephen Ford created this entirely fake, entirely fan-made featurette to...

Back in April, I was lucky enough to attend CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where I saw the world premiere of a little movie called Top Gun: Maverick, which has since gone on to make a few bucks. While Tom Cruise wasn’t there in person to promote the film, he did send along a greeting to the audience of distributors that left everyone in the room suitably impressed. Basically, Cruise was sitting on the wing of a biplane, wearing nothing but a safety rig, while speaking into a headset about the importance of movie theaters. Then, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 director Christopher McQuarrie flies up next to him in another plane, calling action, while the plane Cruise is on goes into a dive with the actor hanging onto the wing for dear life. It was pretty breathtaking stuff, and now the clip itself has leaked online somehow – you can see it embedded below.

"I knew you'd come back." Uh, hell yes this is awesome! Even Christopher Nolan would be impressed. Five is an action short film made entirely independently by actor / filmmaker Stephen Ford, with the goal of capturing "both the spirit and style of Christopher Nolan's Tenet." With a budget of only $300. We've seen plenty of Star Wars and Batman fan films over and the years, but this is the first one inspired by Tenet so far (that I've come across). And it's damn good! Starring Josh Han, Brennan Mejia, Kasey Landoll, Jb Tadena, Colton Eschief Mastro, Romeo Armand, and "Cerberusarms". It's barely five minutes long and the action is solid and entertaining, the way they play with the forward/backward time gimmick is also impressive (especially without any budget). Even the masks are cool. Fire up the Tenet-inspired short below. Thanks to Reddit for the tip on this. Description from YouTube...

Gravitas Ventures has picked up North American distribution rights to Fully Realized Humans, an indie comedy from director Joshua Leonard. The film, which screened at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, will get a day-and-date release on July 30.
Leonard co-wrote and co-stars alongside Jess Weixler in what is described as an honest and hilarious portrait of a married couple on the precipice of parenthood. The pic follows Jackie (Weixler) and Elliot (Leonard) who, with less than a month until the birth of their first child, embark on a madcap odyssey of self-discovery in an attempt to rid themselves of the inherited dysfunction of their own upbringings.
Ross Partridge, Janicza Bravo, Jennifer Lafleur, Beth Grant, Tom Bower, and Michael Chieffo co-star. Leonard also produced the pic with Chelsea Bo and Sean Drummond. Gravitas Ventures Vice President of Acquisitions Tony Piantedosi negotiated the deal with Ben Schwartz and Josh Braun of Submarine.

Marvel fans (and Bucky Barnes himself) got a surprise in the most recent episode of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” when it was revealed that Bucky’s (Sebastian Stan) new vibranium arm has a built-in failsafe that he had no idea about. But based on the reaction to it, we think some people probably need to rewatch previous episodes of this series, if not also at least 4 MCU movies.
So Episode 4, “The Whole World Is Watching,” begins with a flashback to sometime between “Civil War” and “Avengers: Infinity War,” during the period when Bucky was hiding out in Wakanda. Bucky has recently been cured (presumably by Shuri) of his Hydra programming, but that cure has to be tested, a potentially dangerous job that fell to Dora Milaje officer Ayo (Florence Kasumba). In an unprecedented move, Warner Bros. announced Thursday that all 17 films on its 2021 slate will launch on HBO Max the same day they hit theaters — a model that was previously announced for the release of “Wonder Woman 1984.” In a statement, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar doubled down on the fact that this was a necessary response to the Covid-19 pandemic, saying, “We see an opportunity to do something firmly focused on the fans, which is to provide choice. Whether that choice is to enjoy a great new movie out at the cinema, to open up HBO Max, or to do both.”
Naturally, the news was met with a flurry of reactions ranging from shock to anger. Some, like Vulture critic Jen Chaney, worried about the impact the news could have on theaters. She tweeted, “I have been extremely reluctant to make any nail in the coffin pronouncements about the future of movie theaters.

The project will serve as a prequel to the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider game and eventual movie, according to its creator Stephen Lunsford.
"We are currently in pre-production and working hard to make sure this becomes the best live-action iteration of Lara Croft yet," Lunsford said in a post on Instagram, which was later removed.
"Thank you to Crystal Dynamics for all of your support and I can't wait to make this a reality."
Lunsford also said he will provide updates regarding the project as it develops.
It was recently revealed that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be published by Microsoft.
The Tomb Raider sequel will take players to multiple locations around the world, filled with exploration spaces that are described as some of the most beautifully hostile places on earth.

Here’s a first look at the new psychological thriller, called Homecoming, from director Todd Kniss (33 Griffin Lane) who also wrote the screenplay.
The upcoming film from Leomark Studios stars Jordan Belfi (Surrogates), Stephen Lunsford (Beneath the Darkness) and Bo Foxworth (The Monster and the Peanut).
Homecoming trailer features some pretty bloody scenes so it should not be played by kids.
Let us know if this one is something you’ll be checking out this December 12th, 2012.
Click here to view the embedded video.
Here’s a synopsis:
Don’t look now, but your past is out to get you. Katie, the prettiest girl in town, returns home after a 20-year absence to face a past she’s tried hard to forget. When Katie was 13, she lost both parents in a car accident for which she feels responsible, a boy she liked was found murdered, and another boy vanished altogether.

All hail Sterek! The ship that started an online riot when they got summarily excluded from EW.com’s recent “Couples We’re Shipping Like Crazy” poll was the very reason AfterElton decided to run a slash tournament in the first place. But Teen Wolf’s sexy alpha wolf Derek and adorable wisecracking sidekick Stiles still had to get past 31 other popular m/m slash couples. Classic pairings like Kirk/Spock, Hawaii Five-0's Steve & Danno, Merlin & Arthur and their biggest competition of all: Supernatural’s Dean & Castiel.
It’s been a long strange journey, but after 4.7 million votes, 4000 plus comments, hundreds of thousands of Tweets and a mountain of Tumblr postings, the boys from Teen Wolf can fairly lay claim to the title of Favorite Slash Couple, taking 57.2% of the 573,288 votes cast in the championship round.

Watch a sneak peek of tonight's all-new 'Teen Wolf' & guess the show's next victim! I'm still not over the loss of Matt (Stephen Lunsford) on Teen Wolf — he may have been evil, but he was also dreamy — and it doesn't look like I'll have time to mourn him before yet another resident of Beacon Hills bites the dust. On the Aug. 6 episode, appropriately titled "Battlefield," Grandpa Argent gives Scott (Tyler Posey) 30 seconds to tell him where Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) is... or he'll command Jackson (Colton Haynes) to claim another victim. And this doesn't sound like an idle threat. In fact, gramps even rattles off a list of potential victims: Scott's mom, Stiles' dad, Lydia (Holland Roden) or any of the "innocent teenagers" at the game. He even threatens to axe "that ridiculous coach" (Orny Adams)! Though Gerard doesn't specifically mention Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) by name, I couldn't help...

I've been knowingly hard on Teen Wolf. And that's been for a lot of reasons, really: the largest is that I really do want it to be one of the best shows on TV, like I truly believe it is. But with a supernatural drama, getting weirder, stranger, crazier, and more abstract is par for the course (see: The Vampire Diaries), and all of that growing head-spinning insanity can be a lot for a viewer to take in. When we jump from werewolves to hunters to Kanimas to Kanima masters and gay clubs and trannies, are we doing this just to be weird and wild or are we actually attempting to make a good show?
So for two weeks, I took a break from recapping and just watched "Raving" and "Party Guessed", keeping my thoughts to myself as Allison's mom died and Matt was revealed as the Kanima master (which,...

Other than Stephen Lunsford's slightly over-the-top performance as a psychotic killer on his last leg, "Fury" was yet another action-packed hour of Teen Wolf that managed to simultaneously scare the audience to death and pull at its heart strings.
Just like always, every second was pulse-pounding, as Jackson was paralyzing main characters and murdering extras at the drop of the hat. He wasn't doing it on his own accord, though. We learned at the end of last week's episode that Matt was indeed the master, and he put that title to use here, thinking about killing almost everyone in his sight.
While it still ended up being a bit confusing, the flashback to Jackson's camera recording session helped a great deal. It might not have shored up why or how Matt became the kanima's master, but his watching of the video, and the hand touching between master and kanima,...

Plus, the Kanima gets a new (scarier) master in what I officially dub the best episode of 'Teen Wolf' yet! With only a few episodes left until Teen Wolf's second season finale, I figured we were in store for a few twists this week — but nothing could have prepared me for the sexy pretzel that was the July 30 episode, "Fury." By the end of the mind-blowing hour, Scott's (Tyler Posey) secret was exposed, a fan-favorite character was dead, and the Kanima found itself a new master. (Yeah, it was that intense.) For starters, we got an answer to pretty much every question we could have possibly had about Matt (Stephen Lunsford), right down to which Beacon Hills couple he ships. (As it turns out, he's a big ol' "Sterek" fan!) We learned that Isaac's brother threw Matt into the pool during a party for the swim team...

Teen Wolf handles adolescence, relationships, and certain hairy situations on a weekly basis, but it's new character Matt who was just revealed to have all the control as the brains behind the vicious Kanima. We were just as shocked as you: we had no idea when trekking to Atlanta that this guy would wind up being the season's biggest villain (at least, for now), but turns out he's up for that and plenty of other challenges. So just how dangerous is Stephen Lunsford? Ology finds out By Terron R. Moore
Ology: So what's it like being a part of the Teen Wolf phenomenon?
Stephen Lunsford: Well, it’s hilarious, because when I first saw posters and ads for it when it was the first season, I just thought it was a joke—I was like, "this has nothing to do with Michael J. Fox’s movie!" But then I...

Plus: One of our favorites suffers a devastating loss, a terrifying evil returns, and Stiles battles a really big birthday present. After the July 23 episode of Teen Wolf, I think it's official: Lydia (Holland Roden) throws the best parties in Beacon Hills. I wouldn't exactly call them 'fun' — because, you know, everybody either hallucinates or dies — but they're definitely memorable. Let's get the biggest shocker out the way first: Matt (Stephen Lunsford) is the one controlling Jackson (Colton Haynes)! When Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) saw that Matt couldn't swim in Lydia's pool, they put two and two together — the Kanima hates water and Matt's a freakin' psychopath — and reached their "a ha!" moment. And now for the sad portion of tonight's episode: Mrs. Argent (Eaddy Mays) decided she couldn't live as a werewolf, and thusly had Mr. Argent (J.R. Bourne) kill her just as she was beginning...

Plus, Lydia's visions take another freaky turn. Pray for that girl. The July 9 episode of Teen Wolf posed a crucial question for viewers: Can Jackson (Colton Haynes) still look hot, even while literally eating a snake? The answer, as it turns out, was yes — but that was the least of this week's bizarre revelations. After his little snake snack, Jackson dropped trou and attacked Allison (Crystal Reed) in the boys' locker room. Fortunately, Scott (Tyler Posey) came to her rescue, challenging his soapy naked rival to a battle in the shower — and in true Teen Wolf fashion, their old buddy Mr. Dubstep was right there at the center of the action. In the chaos of their battle, Matt (Stephen Lunsford) got his hands on the tablet with all the information about the Kanima, so now there's one more person who knows way too much. Jackson's little freakout prompted Stiles (Dylan O'Brien...

Last week’s (okay, it was a couple days ago) premiere ended with the declaration: “Kill Them All!” No, this isn’t Spartacus. This is the new and slightly improved Teen Wolf. The vile utterance was made by Gerald Argent (Battlestar Galactica’s Michael Hogan), whose appearance shifts the power hierarchy in the Argent family, and puts Scott and every other furry creature on notice.
We open on one of the new characters introduced in the premiere, the sad eyed Isaac (Daniel Sharman), having a tension filled dinner with pops (John Wesley Shipp of Flash fame, or of course, Mitch Leary from Dawson’S Creek). It’s a twist on the cliché conversation about grades that one has with their parents over a meal, except Isaac’s Dad is a little stricter than most/all parents. Isaac, after lying, lets slip that he’s getting a D in Chemistry, clearly...

Teen Wolf
“Omega” Air Date: 6/3/2012
Last year, MTV’s Teen Wolf became the hit the network had been craving. Not a reality show and not a comedy like Undressed, Teen Wolf was original drama. Well, that might be pushing it. The show was based loosely on the 1980s Michael J. Fox classic Teen Wolf, and is basically a Twilight meets MTV rehash with arguably worse acting. But it’s not all bad, and by the end of season 1, there was some stuff to root for.
The premiere opens on Jackson (Colton Haynes), emerging from the depths of a lake, t-shirt conveniently ripped around his perfectly sculpted, glistening body, with the bloody mark of “the bite” iridescent in the moonlight. He survived Derek’s bite, and it looks like we have another werewolf in town.
Or maybe two? At the hospital, Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) has fallen asleep while waiting on Lydia’s (Holland Roden) recovery.

MTV’s supernatural werewolf series Teen Wolf does not shy away from it two biggest draws: showcasing its sizzling hot young actors and a willingness to embrace the pure horror of the genre. Wanting to explore the darker side of werewolf lore, there is blood, guts and gore as the werewolf world is not a safe place to play.
Last year, Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) awoke one day after being bitten to find himself changing in ways he never imagined. It was a season of discovery and revelation as Scott found himself caught up in a centuries old blood feud between hunters and werewolves — or in his case, a vicious, crazed Alpha seeking to expand his pack in order to be invincible. Over the last couple of days some casting news slipped in under the radar for the second season of MTV's "Teen Wolf". Three more folks have joined the previously announced Michael Hogan, Stephen Lunsford, and Daniel Sharman, and we have it all right here in one convenient location.
First up is Bianca Lawson (pictured right), whom many fans know as witch Emily Bennett on "The Vampire Diaries". She will recur on "Teen Wolf" for at least four episodes as Ms. Morrell, Beacon Hills high school's guidance counselor who becomes an ally to several characters,
No stranger to high school TV dramas, Lawson has appeared in "Dawson's Creek", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and "Saved by the Bell: The New Class". Recently Lawson has popped up on "American Horror Story" and "Nikita", and she has a seven-episode arc coming up on "The Secret Circle".

There are various levels of creepy, ranging from talking to your collection of ceramic clowns to keeping the body of a dead woman in your house. Dennis Quaid is that last kind of creepy in Beneath the Darkness, and I’m pretty sure he’s mentally unstable too. Check the trailer and judge for yourself.
Ely the mortician (Quaid) seems like a nice, quiet guy living in a nice, quiet town, but Ely has a little secret and he’s willing to kill to make sure word doesn’t spread about his unique living arrangement.
I’ve always been a fan of Dennis Quaid, although his choice in roles has sometimes been questionable, and it looks like he brings a nice menacing quality to the mortician that has a thing for a dead woman. Hopefully, it won’t take long for this movie to show up in my neck of...

Martin Guigui’s new horror thriller Beneath the Darkness has a new poster that hints (and by ‘hints’ I mean ‘sounds the fog horn’) at the horror to come.
The trailer for the film released back in June wasn’t too promising and believing that Dennis Quaid is a sadistic serial killer with his clean-cut All American persona may seem a bit of a stretch, but never fear – the poster is here to show you what a deranged monster he can be:
With Quaid seemingly on the prowl for babies to eat (that or laxatives) and his two younger co-stars looking both fresh faced and suspicious of the clogged up lunatic respectively, all looks to be in order for a meaty and underwhelming clichéd horror offering. But hey, what is horror if not predictable. Speaking of which:
