Alessandro Parrello is an award winning director, actor and film producer. He made his debut in 2003 with the television series "Elisa from Rivombrosa". In 2004 he co-starred in the TV series "Sweet India" for National Italian Brodacast Rai Due. In 2009 he made his directorial debut with the short film "Too much gambling". He took part as an actor in several films, web series, short films and TV series.
In 2011 he founded his production company West 46th Films, based in Rome and New York, producing films, short films, documentaries and high quality cinematic VR contents.
In 2016 he directed his second short film "The Wolf of Pollino", about the Italian outlaws, as well as "Romeo & Juliet Experience" and various awarded cinematic and virtual reality projects.
In 2017 he starred in Alessandro D'Alatri's television film "The law of number one" (Venice Days 74).
In 2018 he starred as lead role in the thriller "The banality of crime" and in 2020 he is in the Netflix's film "The Match".
In 2019 he wrote and directed his multi award winning short film "Nikola Tesla the man from the future", playing also Nikola Tesla. The film gained international acclamation, both in its cinematic and virtual reality version, distributed in Italy by Rai Cinema.
In 2020 He directed the television version of Gioacchino Rossini's "La Cenerentola", produced by New Generation Festival with Uffizi Galleries and in 2021 "The Divine Comedy", both in cinematic VR and standard film.
Being highly skilled for historical reconstructions, today he is also one of the most requested Italian virtual reality directors, having created dozens of projects for important museums and brands.
In 2021 He starred in the Paula Ortiz's "Across the River and into the trees" with Liev Schreiber and Josh Hutcherson.
