The Resident will stage a Gilmore Girls reunion on Monday’s episode, when Matt Czuchry’s Conrad treats a patient played by Tanc Sade, who portrayed Life and Death Brigade member Finn in the beloved WB/CW dramedy.
As seen in the exclusive clip above, Sade — who trades his Aussie accent for an American one in the episode — appears as Josh Robinson, a risk-taking adventure guide who comes to Chastain Park after a stampede at a music festival leaves dozens of people injured.

“The Resident” has been quite honest about it’s mission to “pull back the curtain” of the medical industry since before it even premiered — often using that exact expression to describe the Matt Czuchry-led Fox drama’s premise in promo materials.
And it followed through on that promise in its first season, with a finale that saw Dr. Lane Hunter (Melina Kanakaredes) — a well-respected oncologist at Atlanta’s fictional Chastain Park Memorial — arrested for committing insurance fraud by giving both sick and cancer-free patients radical levels of chemotherapy.
Now that the medical drama is entering its second season, showrunner Todd Harthan tells TheWrap the series is ready to turn the defibrillator up to 11 and shock viewers with even more dastardly doctor plot points.

‘Gilmore Girls’ Life and Death Brigade Reassembles! Tanc Sade to Join Matt Czuchry on ‘The Resident’
Paging “The Resident”s Dr. Condrad Hawkins, you’ve got an old friend in the house.
“Gilmore Girls” alum — and on-screen Life and Death Brigade member — Tanc Sade is reuniting with his “Gilmore Girls” co-star Matt Czuchry on the latter’s Fox medical drama, a spokesperson for the network tells TheWrap.
Sade played Finn, Logan’s (Czuchry) Yale buddy, on the Amy Sherman-Palladino-created CW series and reprised his role for the 2016 revival. When he stops by Czuchry’s new series for Season 2, he’ll play Josh Robinson, a professional extreme adventure guide whose story takes a highly unexpected turn when he is treated by Condrad at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital.

Originally known as Hollows Grove, Orphanage: The Haunting at Hollows Grove (that’s one hell of a mouthful) was unceremoniously dumped onto DVD in the UK at the end of October – just in time for Halloween. I say dumped as this is yet another case of an interesting found-footage film (how often do I say that?!) being released with a new supermarket-friendly title and artwork. Artwork, may I add, which makes absolutely no mention that writer/director Craig Efros’s film features cameos from Lance Henriksen and Mykelti Williamson – talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face!
Enough about my supermarket-based complaints and on to the film itself. Orphanage follows a young filmmaker, Harold Maxwell, making a behind-the-scenes documentary on his...

Almost Famous auteur Cameron Crowe this Sunday invited you to go on tour with the Roadies for the Staton-House Band. Will you stick around for upcoming dates?
In quick (and shamelessly Showtime-y) fashion, Roadies first introduces us to tour manager Bill (played by Luke Wilson) as he unwittingly beds a bigwig promoter’s (very) young daughter — which is par for the course for the divorcé, production manager Shelli (Carla Gugino) later points out. The premiere revolves around the Staton-House Band’s tour stop in New Orleans, where we next meet Kelly Ann (Imogen Poots), an electrician on the cusp of...

"Matador" is no more. Robert Rodriguez's cable channel El Rey Network has made its first major cancellation, after declining to pick up the spy series "Matador" for a second season. After premiering in in July, the 13-episode first season aired its final episode in October, according to Deadline. "Matador" starred Gabriel Luna as a DEA agent who goes undercover as a pro soccer player. The series was created by the former writing team of Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman (the "Transformers" films, "Amazing Spider-Man 2," "Star Trek Into Darkness"). Rodriguez directed the premiere episode. "Matador" also starred Nicky Whelan, Neil Hopkins, Alfred Molina and Tanc Sade. "Ultimately it was a business decision but to be clear, we were very proud of the series on every level-creatively it hit the mark and we are gratified that it celebrated diversity in front of the cameras and behind the scenes," reads a press release from El Rey.

The El Rey Network, Robert Rodriguez's brainchild, will be premiering its second original series tonight. The Latin-American network will now have, in addition to Rodriguez's series adaptation of From Dusk Till Dawn, Matador- a sleek spy-sports series. The show will follow special narcotics agent Tony Bravo, as he goes undercover as a soccer player in order to gain access to international crime rings.
"Tony 'Matador' Bravo (Gabriel Luna) is a professional soccer player for the La Riot who comes to be known as much for his antics off the field as his moves on it. Gabriel Luna and Tanc Sade aren't world class soccer players, they just play them on TV. But that doesn't mean that the actors/futbol fans can't properly predict what will play out on the pitch. The stars of El Rey Network's upcoming soccer/spy thriller “Matador” predicted the upcoming quarterfinals through the eventual finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup exclusively for TheWrap. Luna, who plays the titular Tony “Matador” Bravo and Tanc Sade, Alec Holester in the show, see the remainder of the international tournament playing out in completely different fashions: Luna likes a Colombia vs. Netherlands finals, while Sade sees it.

In El Rey’s next original series Matador, Gabriel Luna plays a star soccer player — nicknamed “Matador” — who is using his athletic career as a cover for his life as a covert operative working for the CIA, a secret that no one knows about. And an identity crisis inevitably ensues.
Judging by the first look at the series in the teaser below, Matador’s sure to be an action-packed drama: In the 30-second promo alone, we see lots of running (both toward soccer balls and, presumably, away from bad guys), fights, bloodied hands, and guns. Who knew soccer players led such dangerous lives?...
