Lauren Plaxco
- Actress
Born and bred in Southern California. Lauren Plaxco grew up in a family of "first-responders" - father was a fire captain, aunt is a homicide detective, brother is an EMT, and grandfather was an Air Force colonel. She has been surrounded by tough, hardworking, courageous people her whole life and she applies this same drive in her approach to acting.
Lauren is starring as the unexpected killer in the Lifetime Movie "Mistress Hunter" opposite Lauralee Bell (Y&R). She also just completed roles on NBC's "Superstore" & Nickelodeon's "Gameshakers."
Lauren has recurred on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and gained international attention as the brass-knuckle-wielding stewardess in their United Airlines parody (went viral with over 7 million views). She also worked opposite David Alan Grier in their viral sketch about OJ Simpson.
Lauren was part of the indie comedy feature "Fixed" - starring with Nelson Franklin ("Veep"), Leonard Roberts ("American Crime Story"), and Andy Comeau ("Huff").
She is a stage trained actress and has an immense love for the theater. Some of her most memorable LA stage roles include "May" from Sam Shepard's gritty drama "Fool for Love" and as Cleopatra in Shakepeare's "Antony & Cleopatra." Her reviewers said about her performances:

"...Lauren Plaxco (May) simply steals the show with a brutal candor and honesty bordering on fearlessness. This is one of the best performances, male or female, on the boards in Los Angeles that this critic has seen this year." -- Patch.
"...Lauren Plaxco oozes sexual desire as Cleopatra... [she] demonstrates a command of the verse and a keen understanding of the beautiful queen." -- Stage Raw
Lauren just appeared in a Nationwide commercial; a SuperBowl commercial for Amazon; as well as a national commercial for Merrell which shot in Canada.
Other Stage credits include: Much Ado About Nothing, The Comedy of Errors, I Stand Before You Naked, The Tempest, Wait Until Dark.
