Lujane Yacoub

Raised in the U.A.E, Lujane got her start through dance. She began ballet, tap, modern and jazz training at the age of 6; spending several after-school hours at the dance studio. At age 9, Lujane was selected for an elite dance troupe and was the youngest dancer to represent the U.A.E. on stage at Disneyland, CA, for two years consecutively. In addition to dance, Lujane began modeling for Babyshop, and walking fashion shows for brands such as Little Marc Jacobs, Lapin House and Stella McCartney Kids. Around the same time, Lujane was signed with Bareface talent agency in Dubai and began acting in commercials for Fairy dishwashing soap, the JA Beach Hotel and others.
Lujane moved to Bahrain in 2017 and began making dance videos with Aura Arts Centre. These videos caught the attention of Simon Fuller's company, XIX Entertainment. In 2022, Lujane was flown to Abu Dhabi to meet Mr. Fuller and audition as a dancer for a MENA region based project, still pending. Also in 2022, Lujane was featured in three music videos. She appeared in Saudi Arabian rapper- Arab YG's music video "Society Made" in which she portrayed a demon. Lujane appeared in two of Bahraini singer Xenai's videos; "Tell Me Why You're Awake" in which she played the love interest and "Ugly" in which she portrayed a Sindhi woman, grappling with identity. Lujane continued to model for brands such as Rolls Royce, Devji Aurum, Coach, and NYX Cosmetics Arabia. In addition, Lujane was selected to represent Bahrain School at the DoDEA Drama Fest in Wiesbaden, Germany, for which she earned the gold medal for her monologue work.
In September of 2022, Lujane was headhunted for Miss Universe Bahrain, as a junior in high school, and made first runner up at age 17. She competed again the following year and was crowned as the youngest ever Miss Universe Bahrain, turning 19, days before representing her country on the global stage in El Salvador. Lujane has been featured in many publications, including Harpers Bazaar Arabia, Forbes ME, and Cosmopolitan ME. In October 2023, she was interviewed by CNN Philippines and asked to speak about Miss Universe's decision to eliminate the age limit. Lujane replied, "that's the amazing thing about the organization..any woman can accomplish anything at any point in their lives..no matter your age, your height, your weight, all of that is just numbers". During her reign, Lujane represented Bahrain at the United Nation's ECOSOC forum in NY and was also invited to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.
In 2023, Lujane was cast in "Hope", a soon-to-be-released short film, written & directed by Ahmed Zayani. Set in the aftermath of the global pandemic, "Hope" was filmed in Bahrain and produced by Blu Steel Films. In June 2024, Lujane traveled to the Maldives for the filming of the new Miss Universe Bahrain competition, under the direction of Josh Yugen and Yugen PR. Lujane was chosen to create the opening dance number for the production and created an original sound mix, choreography and costume design for the show. She was also chosen to be the MC for the show, soon to be released. As of August 2024, Lujane attends actor training full time at University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) with an actor acceptance rate of 3.5% and a current ranking of No. 3 in the world for drama schools, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
