Sir Bruce Forsyth has hinted further at a possible retirement from showbusiness in a new interview.
The 85-year-old Strictly Come Dancing co-host revealed that he may leave the UK for six months every year, in order to avoid the cold winter months.
Forsyth stated that he may head to Puerto Rico for six months, the homeland of his wife of 30 years Wilnelia Merced.
"It's 85°F there. I don't know why I came back to this stinking cold place," he told Radio Times.
"I would contemplate just doing six months a year in this country. If this is going to be our regular winter, I'm going to vanish in October and come back at the end of May."
When reminded that he would miss Strictly in those months, he replied: "Oh yes, but we'll forget about that... "

Strictly Come Dancing host Bruce Forsyth has called for Arlene Phillips to return to the show's judging panel. The veteran entertainer said that it was a mistake to replace Phillips with Alesha Dixon in 2009, as he believed there was room in the contest for both. Speaking to TV Times, Wilnelia said, “Being Latin, dancing is in my blood, so I’d love to go on the show.
“I’d have to give some earplugs to Bruce when the judges started saying horrible things about me though!”
Puerto Rican Wilnelia, who at 50 still looks stunning – she was a former Miss World – also revealed that it was Bruce’s dancing abilities that first attracted her to him nearly 30 years ago.
She said, “I kept asking him, ‘Are you sure you’re really English?’, because he had such good rhythm. I was amazed!’”
