The 1999 coming-of-age comedy "American Pie" was a massive hit when it was released in 1999. Starring a who's-who of upcoming teen talent, "American Pie" delved deeply into the more embarrassing sexual details of being an adolescent boy in the modern day. There were scenes involving bodily fluids, oral sex, and multiple references to creative masturbation. While the bulk of the film -- written by Mike Herz and directed by Paul Weisz -- prided itself on aggressive raunchiness, it wisely ended on a sweet note, allowing the characters to realize that despite having had sex, they still have a lot to look forward to on their journey of growing up.
For a while in the early 2000s, Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth, Seann William Scott, Thomas Ian Nicholas, and Natasha Lyonne were household names largely because of the "American Pie" movies. To date, the series has made $990 million.

It was bound to happen sooner or later, folks. Although I don’t spend as much time watching Full Moon flicks as I did during the days of “Trancers” and “Puppet Master” — “Killjoy” is an exception — I can’t say that I’m not interested in “Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong.” Never mind that I couldn’t finish “Evil Bong.” Never mind that I didn’t watch the other films in the “Gingerdead Man” franchise. There’s a part of my soul that needs to see “Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong” despite my natural inclination to avoid it altogether. Here’s how Full Moon describes the endeavor: It’s a War of the Colossal Freaks when serial killing cookie, Gingerdead Man, tracks down the lone survivor of his murderous rampage, Sarah Leigh (Robin Sydney), to take care of unfinished business. But his devious plans go up in smoke when Sarah...

You've got to watch this hilariously awesome comedy short called Lucy in the Sky with Diamond, which stars Lou Diamond Phillips. The films was written and directed by Joey Boukadakis, it's solidly fun writing with strong acting.
The story follows a guy named John (John Patrick Jordan) who's sulking over losing his super hot girlfriend (Marlana Carter). While out with a friend he finds out that she's now dating Lou Diamond Phillips. Things take a great turn for the awkward when Phillips pulls John aside to give him some advice on how to move on. From there things get even more bizarre.

Everyone loves Lou Diamond Phillips right? Well, everyone does in “Lucy in the Sky with Diamond,” the short film by writer/director Joey Boukadakis. The short film takes the Tony and Golden Globe-nominated actor and turns him into a mythical version of himself, Chuck Norris-style: “‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamond’ was shot over two days in a diner in the San Fernando Valley. The film also stars John Patrick Jordan (‘American Pie,’ ‘Mad Men’) and Brian Thomas Smith (‘The Big Bang Theory,’ ‘Happy Endings’). Phillips plays a hyperbolized version of himself known as the elusive and mysterious ‘Ldp’ – a renegade, spirit guide, life coach character who attempts to help [ Read More ]

Why Watch? The trend of celebrities playing themselves is wearing a bit thin, but holy hell if Lou Diamond Phillips doesn’t nail it better than just about anyone here. In Lucy in the Sky with Diamond, John (John Patrick Jordan) laments losing his super hot girlfriend (Marlana Carter), and to make it worse, she’s dating Ldp now. Fortunately, the star of La Bamba has some advice for how John can move on. Things get bizarre, and that’s before they start talking about the Spirit World. This short from Joey Boukadakis is an Old Spice commercial distilled into narrative form. Pure comic perfection with syrup on top, Ldp is instantly up there with Nph and Chuck Norris (who, himself, is too cool for acronyms). In other words, Lou Diamond Phillips is legen–wait for it… What will it cost? Around 10 minutes. Skip Work. Watch More Short Films.

Believe it or not, it’s now been 10 years since the original American Pie movie. It was a huge success costing around $10m to make and creating around $235m at the box office. It spawned two further theatrical releases and American Pie Presents: The Book of Love is the 4th straight-to-dvd release in the franchise making it the 7th in the series. None of it’s predecessors have managed to live up to the standard of the original movie but read on to find out if this seventh movie cu the mustard!
American Pie (1999) didn’t just start a franchise that would go for ten years or longer, it created (or possibly revived?) a whole new genre which sparked many other college based comedies, none of which have quite lived up to the daddy that is American Pie. Yup, Universal is releasing yet another direct-to-dvd American Pie sequel/spin-off. And yes, the jokes have gotten progressively less funny. This time around, the story focuses on three friends at Great Falls High, who like the original group, are "determined to succeed in their mission of manhood and score with the ladies of their dreams." But before that can happen, they must reconstruct "the bible". After some uproarious attempts with less than successful results, they accidentally discover a legendary guide to seduction hidden in the school library. It turns out to be a rarely-seen, often-sought manual about the secrets to sexual success, penned by some of the school's previous generations. But a few missing pages leads to hilarious surprises for everyone... including the alumni. The film stars Eugene Levy, Rosanna Arquette, Bug Hall, Kevin M. Horton, Brandon Hardesty, Beth Behrs, Melanie Papalia, Jennifer Holland, John Patrick Jordan, Louisa Lytton, Sherman Hemsley,...
