Ben-Hur Uribe was born in Burbank, California, to Maria Socorro Perez and Luis Perez. Two months after his birth, his parents returned to their native land of Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Mexico, where he spent his early years.
At the age of nine, his mother moved the family back to the United States after a divorce, marking the beginning of a challenging transition in which his family faced numerous economic and social difficulties.
Of three siblings during this time, Ben was the only one to attend college. He graduated with a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and earned a Master's degree from Columbia College Chicago.
Ben's short film, Por Amor, has garnered numerous prestigious awards, including "Best Dramatic Short," "Best Featured Short," "Best Cinematography," and the "Audience Award." The film was picked up by Apple TV, showcasing his talent on a global platform. His other short films have also received recognition, including an Illinois Arts Council Award, and featured renowned talent such as Joe Minoso from Chicago Fire and Ted Kazerinski from Saturday Night Live.
Ben excels as a Producer/Director, crafting compelling videos and commercials for major national and international companies. His work has earned him various awards, including two Telly Awards and recognition for his outstanding contributions as a Latino Director/Producer.
Now, Ben is embarking on his next endeavor: producing his first feature film. With a proven track record of success and a passion for storytelling, he is ready to bring his unique vision to a larger audience.
