Born in Stalowa Wola, Poland. He graduated Academy of Drama in Warsaw.
Maciej first felt the call of the stage already in elementary school.
He studied at the School of Performing Arts for thirteen years, majoring in music - his instrument was the violin, but also piano, guitar and lately, African drums. One of his major hobbies, which he dedicated five years of his growing-up life on was karate. All those skills helped him into University of Performing Arts in Warsaw, where he wanted to study drama.
His first major on-screen role came in 2005, as he won the male lead in the romantic comedy "Tylko Mnie Kochaj" (Just love me). But that wasn't his first brush with the acting world - fans know him well from the TV screens. Maciej was a keen actor, participating in many polish productions, such as the series "Plebania", "Sfora" or "Samo Zycie". He also starred in a supporting role in the historical "Stara Basn" (2004), showing early Polish history.
For the moment being, he enjoys his popularity in the widely loved show "Kryminalni" (Homicide Unit), as lieutenant Marek Brodecki - as well as his many performances on the old stage of Contemporary Theatre in Warsaw.
