Joseph Alden

Actor, Avocado Farmer, and Retired Naval Aviator. Joseph W Alden was born in Westerly, RI in 1971 and was raised in both RI and upstate NY. He was introduced to acting while a student in college, taking a theater arts class and performance lab while a student athlete. In college, Joseph was an All-American Lacrosse player, an NCAA Lacrosse National Champion, and a team captain. After graduation he attended the U.S. Navy's Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida as a Student Naval Aviator (SNA). After earning his commission as a Naval Officer and his "Wings of Gold" he began F/A-18 Training at NAS Cecil Field, FL. He went on to serve his country for twenty years as a Naval Officer and Aviator. His deployments included cruises onboard the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71), the USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-69), the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73), and with MARINE AIRCRAFT GROUP 12. Joe flew combat missions in support of OPERATIONs ALLIED FORCE over Kosovo, SOUTHERN WATCH over Iraq, ENDURING FREEDOM over Afghanistan post 9-11, and later in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM-PHILIPPINES while on temporary duty assigned to SOCPAC from Commander Naval Forces Japan/Commander Fleet Air Forward.
After retiring from military service with over 2000 flight hours in the F/A-18 A-F models and the F-16A, Joseph pursued his love of acting and trained at the Manhattan Actor Studio and the Scott Sedita Studio, both in Los Angeles. He is a member of the Tailhook Association, Veterans in Media and Entertainment, Hollywood Post 43 of the American Legion, and the Farm Bureau.
