The feature film shot by Adam Fillenz titled 'Adrienn Pal' a
Hungarian-Dutch-Austrian-French co-production won the FIPRESCI Award at
the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. His
diploma/first feature film 'Fresh Air' directed by the same director
(Agnes Kocsis) was selected in the Semiane de la Critique section of
the 2006 Cannes Film Festival competing for the Camera D'Or. It was
also nominated for the Best First Feature at the European Film Awards.
He shot half of the film 'Milky Way' (directed by Benedek
Fliegauf) that won the Golden Leopard of the Filmmakers of the Present
competition at the Locarno Film Festival in 2007. And his latest movie 'Tegnap' (Yesterday/Hier) directed by Bálint Kenyeres also premiered at Locarno in 2018. Besides the feature films Adam worked on several other projects, commercials,
documentaries and music videos. Sometimes he works as director/DP and his short film 'Inconvenient Comfort' in Dutch-Hungarian co-production received awards for it's cinematography as well as for it's screenplay. He
is also working as camera operator in big budget TV series such as 'The Borgias'
starring Jeremy Irons or 'The Alienist' starring Daniel Brühl, Luke Evans, and Dakota Fanning, and in feature films as well. He was nominated and awarded several times for best
cinematography. He's a member of the H.S.C.
and the European Film Academy. In 2012 he received the Balazs Bela
Prize for outstanding achievement in the art of film. And he also
gave lectures at the University of Theatre and Film Arts in Budapest.
