Cory Krueckeberg is a creative chameleon having written, produced, edited, designed and/ or directed for all of SPEAKproductions acclaimed films, which have won over 60 awards and screened at more than 300 film festivals around the world. As a writer his first feature, the cult-hit musical fantasy Were the World Mine, was chosen by The New York Times as Critics' Pick, calling it "Movie Musical Magic." His follow up screenplay, Mariachi Gringo, premiered as Miami Int'l Film Festival's Opening Night film and won the top prize at Guadalajara, Latin America's top film festival. About it, the New York Times proclaimed, "¡Hurra! Mariachi Gringo is right on pitch." And about his screen adaptation of celebrated Off-Broadway musical, Hello Again, The New York Times declared "The movie musical needs more ambitious creators like them." At the Cleveland International Film Festival, Cory was honored as "Someone to Watch" with a retrospective of his first five feature and short films, including Getting Go, an experimental hybrid of narrative, art film and documentary which Parade magazine called "the steamiest movie on Amazon Prime." Cory has a BFA from the Professional Actor Training Studio at the University of Illinois, is a member of Actor's Equity Association and once upon a time made a living acting on stages all across the country. He lives in Harlem with business and life partner, Tom Gustafson and their greyhound, Pippin.
