She was born in Manila, Philippines. Her parents were famous love team and screen idols in the 1950s - Cesar Ramirez and Alicia Vergel. She is also the younger sister of 1970's award-winning and most popular action star Ace Vergel.
In the '90s, she the pre-dominant choice as leading lady to the Philippines' top action stars and comedy kings. She became a household name as "Almira del Valle," the mother of prime stars Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes in "Mara Clara," the 2nd longest-running, Philippine TV soap opera produced by ABS-CBN.
In the late '90s and 2000s, she gained experience as a line producer, writer, and director for TV at GMA 7. She then continued her production work in ABS-CBN as an executive producer.
In 8 years, Beverly rose from the ranks to become the Managing Director of ABS-CBN CCAI workshops, the training arm for upcoming and current talents.
Beverly has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and a diploma in Human Resource Management and is anticipating her Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
