Jennifer Olmeda
- Actress
A dynamic Latin-American performer, Jennifer Olmeda (also credited as Jennifer Elizabeth Torres) hails from Edinburg, Texas. The daughter of two teachers, she began reading books on tape for her elementary school when she was only 6 years old, and was performing the National Anthem, classic Mariachi folk songs, and the music of Selena at baseball games, rodeos, and weddings before middle school. An academic standout in high school, she juggled singing and acting performances as often as possible, and chose to pursue her education at Florida State University. While at FSU she acted in productions by the nationally ranked Theater and Film departments before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Theater. Forever a performer at heart, she pursued her dreams to Los Angeles, where she worked in print and commercial productions before returning to Texas and falling in love with the art of teaching. As an educator she imbued her love for performance with her love for academia, and further honed her craft as live host to classrooms full of students. As an actress, host, singer, writer, and educator she is known for her authentic on-camera presence and charisma, as well as her engaging and energetic presentation skills. Her impassioned performances capture and mesmerize audiences, and her broad range of abilities as a performer consistently set her apart from her peers.
