Hank White Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a Social Activist and film industry veteran with over forty-five years of experience as an Actor, Producer, Writer, Casting Director and Director. Hank is Mi'kmaq/Acadian and a long-time member of the Native Council of Nova Scotia Zone 12. He Started Acting at age 10 at the Central Commons Music class, the Theatre Arts Guild, Neptune Theatre second stage, Pier1 Theatre, Seaweed Theatre and Dream Productions. He started Hank White Productions in 1979 and was the first Casting Director in Nova Scotia until 1992. (best known for his diversity in casting and crew) He taught acting with the Young Actors In Training, for several years;
He was the founder of the Aboriginal and Visible Minority Shadow Program, Now part of Screen Nova Scotia, A founding member of the Alliance of Aboriginal Media Professionals (AAMP), Federal Anti Racism Committee (PSAC) created in 1986, and the National Council of Federal Aboriginal Employees (NCAFE).
Hank is the co-owner of Redemption Pictures Inc. and has produced several award-winning films like Charlie Zone, the first Indigenous-produced feature film in Nova Scotia. He is a co-producer with Marty Williams and co-writer of 8:37 REBIRTH, he owns Rebirth Films Inc. and Stone Cold Productions Ltd.
Apart from his previous works, Hank is also working on several upcoming projects, including the Documentary series "RING OF FIRE: The Life of Annie Mae Aquash" as the Canadian Producer, "THE S WORD Surviving Suicide on Reserve", and Miller's Reckoning.
Hank has also produced several short films and has volunteered for organizations like Children's Wish Foundation N.S. Chapter. He has worked as a Real Estate Advisor with Public Works Canada (PWGSC) for thirty-two years.
