Despite opener Navjot Sidhu top scoring with 93, Jadeja's knock was considered by most analysts as pivotal to India's 39 run victory and advance to the semi-finals. However, Jadeja's final outing at the same ground in 2000, where he scored 93, coincidentally also against Pakistan, went in vain as India lost the match.
