If this is how All Rise wraps up its legacy, it sure doesn’t feel like a satisfying way for it to end.
Greg Spottiswood’s courtroom drama, which starred Simone Missick as the boundary-pushing Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lola Carmichael, said goodbye on November 18 with a one-hour series finale on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network that felt more like a season ender than an authentic reflection of three seasons worth of work. The final episode, coincidentally titled “Sometimes Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction,” had several loose ends to tie up in just 41 minutes, which made it all the more difficult to give equal attention to lingering storylines while also attempting to put a proper cap on the series.

Saturday’s episode, titled “Trouble Woman,” will feature the return of Heche’s lawyer Corinne Cuthbert, TVLine reports. The site also notes that the episode will end with a dedication reading, “In Memory of Anne Heche / Our Friend and Wonderful Artist / You Are Missed.” CBS Heche started recurring in All Rise in Season 2, with her character frequently clashing with Judge Lola Carmichael (Simone Missick). OWN TV dropped the official season trailer, which teases loss, romance, returns, and riveting cases.
It’s hard to believe this is the end since we’ve grown to love these characters, but hopefully, OWN had enough time to craft a proper goodbye.
At the end of All Rise Season 3 Episode 10, Brandon Nation had caused senseless violence and possibly killed Ness and Teddy.
We’re still unsure if one or both of them die, but Lola is on the warpath to prevent more violence.
Lola’s marriage was also in jeopardy since Andre took advantage of her fear and kissed her, and Robin walked in at that moment.
Can she and Robin work things out and learn to communicate their needs better?
The other couples are finally flourishing. Luke and Emily finally...

Judge Lola Carmichael and her team of attorneys have kept us entertained with their fight for justice and their own drama for almost three seasons.
Unfortunately, the long wait for the second half of All Rise Season 3 is killing the momentum. It hasn't aired in a year, and its future beyond the filmed episodes is up in the air.
The show will be back on the air at some point, though, and we've rounded up everything there is to know about what could be the final-ever episodes.
All Rise Season 3 Episode 10 ended bittersweetly since two lives hung in the balance due to Brandon Nation.
While couples reuniting during a tragedy is overdone, seeing Luke rush to save Emily and Maddy from Leo and the two finally admit their feelings were long overdue.
It was such an emotional scene, but viewers want happier times instant of continuous angst for Luke and Emily.

It sounds like Judge Carmichael's courtroom is closing for the second time. Warner Bros. Television has opted not to pick up the options of the All Rise cast, making the possibility of a fourth-season renewal unlikely.
An OWN courtroom drama series, the All Rise TV show stars Simone Missick, Wilson Bethel, Jessica Camacho, J. Alex Brinson, Ruthie Ann Miles, Lindsay Mendez, Lindsey Gort, and Marg Helgenberger. Samantha Marie Ware, Paul McCrane, and Suzanne Cryer recur. The series follows the chaotic, hopeful (and sometimes absurd) world of those working at a Los Angeles courthouse. Lola Carmichael (Missick) is an appointed judge who was previously a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney. She depends on the counsel of people like her best friend, Deputy District Attorney Mark Callan (Bethel), Judge Lisa Benner (Helgenberger), and pragmatic judicial assistant Sherri...

The fate of All Rise is, once again, up in the air.
Deadline reported Thursday that Warner Bros. Television has released the cast of the legal drama.
OWN, which picked up the show from CBS after the network canceled it after two seasons, has yet to schedule the second half of All Rise Season 3.
The show has been off the air since early August, so the lack of updates on when the rest of the season would air has been a major cause for concern.
Deadline notes that OWN will not make an official decision on a pickup for a potential fourth season until the next batch of episodes air.
The outlet believes the episodes will see the light of day later this year.
However, there's a good chance the cast will have moved on to new projects, meaning that assembling everyone again for a potential All Rise Season 4 will be a difficult task.

Exclusive: Once again, All Rise is facing a possible cancellation. The cast of the courtroom drama series, led by Simone Missick, has been released by producing studio Warner Bros. Television.
OWN gave All Rise a second lease on life, picking up the series for a 20-episode Season 3 in 2021 following its cancellation by CBS after two seasons. The new season, which has been completed, was slated to run in two 10-episode batches, with the first half airing last summer and the second one set to air later this year.
All Rise was not able to bring in broadcast-size audience to OWN but Season 3A did Ok by cable standards. With the cast options coming up and Season 3B yet to be scheduled, I hear the studio notified the actors that their options are not getting picked up. OWN is expected to make a decision on the show’s future after the episodes air.

The Lola coaster returned to the courtroom on its new home on OWN.
Judge Lola Carmichael fought hard to retain her seat on the bench on All Rise Season 3 Episode 1.
She had to prove to many conservative judges that she was the right woman for the job, which was challenging considering she oversaw Luke's controversial case.
All Rise Season 3 will explore the motivations behind the characters' decisions. That was certainly the case on the Season 3 premiere. While several characters contemplated new career decisions, most of the hour focused on Lola and Luke.
Lola has always tried creative strategies in the courtroom, which almost cost her the election. Corrine Cuthbert was more conservative and beating her, but Lola wasn't giving up.
It looks like it’s going to be a long night, but we are not going anywhere!

In retrospect, being canceled by CBS may have been for the better for All Rise, the series about Los Angeles judges, prosecutors, and public defenders working to get justice in a flawed legal system. The legal drama which was later saved by OWN, returns for a third season on Tuesday, June 7. And according to star Simone Missick, All Rise‘s new home on the cable network allowed the show to make changes it’s wanted to implement for a while. Last we saw these characters in the Season 2 finale, Missick’s Judge Lola Carmichael was primed for the campaign to keep her seat as judge, with politician Martin Moore (Andy Buckley) vowing to do everything in his power to unseat her after she sentenced his son to prison for murder. Season 3 picks up six months later “on election night as Judge Lola Carmichael awaits the results of her campaign; Emily...

It's been a long wait for All Rise, but the former CBS drama makes its grand return to the air Tuesday, June 7, at 8/7c.

In this peak TV era, there are simply too many shows on the air.
While there's more selection than ever, the caveat is that many shows are criminally underrated.
We've compiled a list of the shows we think deserve far more recognition.
Scroll down to get up to speed, TV Fanatics.
1. For All Mankind - Apple TV+ For All Mankind takes place in an alternate timeline in which Alexei Arkhipovich Leonov is the first human to land on the moon. The series follows the people who work for NASA as they attempt to bounce back. It features stellar acting, storylines that feel both timely and fresh, and awe-inspiring visuals that are only possible with a big budget. It's criminal that this show is not talked about more, and it strikes us as the type of show that would be at the top of the conversation had it launched on Netflix.

All Rise will be back in session this summer on OWN.
While it was initially reported that the CBS-turned-own legal drama would be back in the spring, the cabler announced Wednesday that it would be back in June.
The news broke during the virtual Television Critics association.
On the casting front, there will be some changes.
Marg Helgenberger has been confirmed to return in the recurring role of Judge Lisa Benner.
Helgenberger's future on the show was up in the air when the star booked a pilot before the show was revived.
She is also in talks to return to the CSI universe, but hey, at least Judge Benner will be a part of the new season.
Christian Keyes is set to take over the role of Lola's husband Robin. The role was previously played by Todd Williams.
Simone Missick will reprise her role as Judge Lola Carmichael.
