MJ Shaw

MJ (Melissa-Jane) is a choreographer who facilitates story-telling through movement. MJ brings 30 years of experience in dance, theatre, acting, directing, producing, for a wide lens collaborative team approach. MJ retired as an actor in 2019, but enjoys being on set encouraging actors (most of whom are not 'dancers') to move in an embodied, confident, authentic way to serve the story. MJ founded theatre company Seventh Stage Productions in 2006 and corporate entertainment company LaRouge Entertianment in 2008. In 2019 she opened Soul Fuel, a movement studio in Roncesvalles / Bloor West Toronto.
